Hmmm. I suspect most folks who sign up with BestMark have already signed up with MarketForce. Somehow this sounds a little odd.
No, this strikes me as a courtesy sharing rather than any sort of acquisition. Where companies use outside schedulers, the schedulers sometimes suggest that you sign up with other companies they are scheduling for if they don't have adequate shoppers in your area. Both BestMark and MarketForce appear to use employee schedulers.
Another "Dumb and Dumber"..........

(meaning these two MSC's)

Thanks for sharing, mawmaw26. I shop for both, which perhaps is why I didn't get the email. The past few years, we have seen MSPs sharing databases. I just don't recall MFI's involvement. Interesting.
Bestmark has long stopped offering anything in my area, so this was basically a quickly deleted e-mail.
BestMark and Market Force share a mutual commitment to attracting and maintaining a field force of high quality, engaged mystery shoppers. The ability to offer a variety of assignments in markets across the country is a key factor in maintaining shopper engagement, which is why both companies sent out emails this week. The emails are part of a joint-initiative to keep shoppers, specifically those in more rural markets, informed about additional opportunities available near them.

BestMark and Market Force have not merged. We will continue to operate as independent companies as we always have.

*Additional Note: No shopper information was exchanged as a part of this initiative and each company emailed its own respective database of shoppers. Neither company shared (nor is it their policy to ever share) private shopper information with any outside entity.

Has any one noticed a slow down of opportunites from their regular companies they routinely shop for? Has the economy effected this industry also? This time last year I was several hundreds of dollars ahead on my books and the jobs in this area are not as plentiful or ..............can a shopper saturate an area and the company just will not filter work to my area? Do these companies keep that great of records on shoppers histories? I am in the West Tn(Memphis), North MS(Southaven) area. Have been shopping for 3 years and love it. Oh by the way, Bestmark's new Best Buy shop report for is a tremendous improvement!!
I've done some shops so many times that even rotation won't keep me from being identified. You can only shop for a DSLR camera with the same guy a couple of times before they have to know you are the shopper. Deciding not to do the big box electric store will cut my income by $40-$60 per month alone. Also, I can't repeat the apartments I've done this year for another year. That swill reduce my income. I have to be constantly looking for new shops or reach further out into the rural areas or travel to make up the difference. Am going to Carrie's video class in Nashville next week. Have to explore all options in order to keep building my business in this economy.

Today I Will Choose Joy!

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
