How is that debatable? If you can't do the shop and have asked for it to be canceled, what's the problem? Have they given you a legitimate reason as to why they are not canceling the shop?

Strange situation. Are they looking for you to flake?
I guess I don't understand. If you canceled, why do you need a reply. Is it still showing on your shoppers log?

they've not responded in any way at all. it's been several days now.

it looks like they want it to become overdue or something. i don't know. they won't cancel it.

yes, it's still showing up on my shopper's log. they won't cancel it.
It sounds like you are saying they have not refused to cancel the shop, they have just not responded to your e-mail. It might be time to e-mail any other e-mail addresses you can find on the site, e-mail their Help Desk, and - I hate phoning - but yes, telephone them. If you like the company and want to continue working with them, it's probably a better idea to demand attention quickly and cancel. Maybe that scheduler is not available, and, what I've found is that few schedulers have an Auto message or notice of any kind that they are not available.
If it a sassie shop, you must use the contact us as well as emailing the scheduler. Did you do this over the week-end? Perhaps the scheduler has not checked mail yet.

In long as you did try everything, you are not at fault. I would try getting a telephone number. If you are unable to and wish to post it here, some shoppers have numbers that may not be posted on the mystery shop site. In addition, you might want to try contacting on Monday.
chalk it up to a company you dont want to work with... and thats that...

i emailed everyone on the website and they cancelled it. thanks. smiling smiley
Did you write the cancel in the help/contact box below the shop...that sometimes works better than an normal email....as long as you did cancel, you did your due dilegence.

Live consciously....
I tried to re-schedule a shop for one company that does not allow you to request changes online. I left a message on the voicemail system. They had changed their phone system and now have a convoluted way to request changes or cancellations. I thought I had requested the change, however, they never changed it on my board and I never received an e-mail from them until I received notification that the shop was cancelled because it was late. This company makes it very difficult to deal with so I won't be doing any further shops for them for awhile. I still get shop offers from them but I wonder why this company makes it so difficult for shoppers to interact with them.

I had sent three emails through the help/contact box with no response.

it sounds like they don't want you to cancel.
Good luck Vince! I know I have accidentally missed a couple of emails over the last few months a shopper wanting an updated due date or to cancel... this mainly happens for me when the email is sent on a weekend. I know it's not an *excuse* but this faulty human scheduler here is VERY upset with myself when I realize it because if a shopper cannot complete, then I really need to get busy finding another shopper.

I will say, if ever "I" do not cancel one you emailed about, kick me on the backside and email me again. LOL Don't kick too hard though! :-P
