Pizza Shops

I have found that you can just throw them in the freezer after the pics. Put on a pizza pan at 300 degrees and it seems great.

57carol, that's hilarious!

I've never done a Papa John's one. My mom did, and they rejected it because they said her photos were blurry (which they weren't).

The Papa Johns are on my ten foot pole list.
yeah i stopped doing them a while ago... way to much work... they lost the company... go figure... i still wont do them... havent done much for that famous company at all...

Actually, they don't require mutilation any more, which makes it easier to pull a couple of pieces out of the chest freezer when I don't feel like cooking. 10 minutes in the toaster oven, and I have something to fill my belly.
You just have to flip two pieeces upside down for some quick pics and then turn them face back up. My family doesn't notice. And I freeze them a couple of slices at a time in baggies so they are easily accessible to a certain 7 and 10 year old.

Sometimes I order from other peopole's houses that need the food. That way they get pizza and a visit. lol My fovorite pizza lover dies a few weeks ago at age 99. I really miss Miss Lilly and hope there's plenty of pizza at the marraige supper of the Lamb! lol

cyberjf,

Some of the other smaller, regional pizza chains are shopped by servicesleuth.com, servicecheck.com and other msc's. Never seen Domino's shopped. Little Caesars is shopped by a lousy msc that has decent accounts, ut screws shoppers with it's purposeful slow payments. Do not shop for this msc.
i would love to find some other pizza shops other than pooopa jooons.. they have to much crust anyway... our famous friend actually lost 2 pizza places... the other one... pretty good but to far off the beaten track... i think one i did was bonused up to 22 plus reimbursement...

Customer Service Experts also does a very large pizza chain in the NYC area owned by Albanians. Not sure if it is nationwide or not.
I love thick-crust pizza, but think Papa John's tastes terrible, so bland. I would never choose to order from them, even when reimbursed and paid to do it. I might do one and give it to someone who likes it, but no one I know does.
i think its a case of popularity rather than taste... pizza hut is wayyy better... cheaper too...

We stick to local pizza businesses. I think PJ hopes to gain new customers through these shops. They're not getting our family, though. LOL

Their pizza is pure yuck to me. The pizza sauce is the worst, and you're not allowed to order what you want. I do the shops for others who will eat anythingsmiling smiley And then, I do them only when bonused.

They comp so many pies through shopping, with so many MSPs, that I think you may have a point there, TechSavvy!
I used to do a lot of these Papa's shop back in 04 and 05. I think they were held by Ritter, or MSI. Or maybe it was CRI. obviously I dont remember. ha! some other mfc has them now.

In either case, I rarely work "just for food" to be honest. It's not worth it. When they bonus, I take them.

The pizza chain tastes great to me, I am not sure why everyone on this thread is so down on them. I would think they use similar ingredients, no matter what part of the country...so either its similarly bad all around (ha!) and people just have different tastes, or the stuff you guys are getting over on that side of the country sucks. They win awards for good pizza around here...

Out of the chains like Dominoes, Papa Johns, Little Caesars, Pizza Hut and Pizza Guys, Papa Johns is easily the best tasting. But I suppose to really comes down to personal preference. I like their chewy dough..some people love thin crust. So to each their own I guess.

I've never had an issue on the Papa John's shops with my photos being blurry, and I've done six of them so far.
I did a ton of these papa johns shops back in college, paid 7 bucks and reimbursed for the pizza. Was a great gig for a broke college kid.

never had 1 report sent back. I just always took several photos of each angle..easy peasy.
Some of the shops are just not worth the hassle. I found the requirements on the Pizza shops just cause me too much of a problem along with the fact I really do no tlike the restrictions on what you can have on them. And then I had one picture tha twas kind of cut off at the top, but you could see the entire pizza. they refused to pay. So, I said that's it. No more pizza shops for me.

Ya that sucks.. I dont blame you on that.

I guess I've just done so many of these in the past, its super easy for me to get those pics done and right the first time. It is frustrating when an MSC disputes your work..so I feel your pain.

I dunno though. 8 photos, 2 minute call, 10 minute report. ends up being 18 minutes max for me so I take them all day when they pay out 15.00 on top of the food.

They (normally) don't pay $7 on top of the reimbursement now, unless they get bonused.

This is true. I typically only see them pay 5.00 on top of reimbursement. It was 7.00 back in 2004/2005. I find it funny they pay less 5 years later, when things are more expensive...

That said, I never see them around here for less than 7-8. On occasion they will hit 10.00 but its rare they usually get snatched up by then.
I would rather do a Neiman Marcus. They paid $125 to eat lunch. You had to bring a partner and carry out a lunch. Can you believe people actually live like that on the other end of the food chain, Independent business people can pick their shops. I have not seen a Neiman Marcus in a year, I forget who offered it.

hahahahahahaha
Someone mentioned never seeing Dominos available to shop. Dominos was my first mystery shop. I got it from an advertisement in the newspaper and it was directly with Dominos, not a msc.
It was a one year contract to order a pizza of my choice once a month. No photos involved; just a 1-800 number phone in report of about 10 questions.
I went to the Papa John's seminar at the IMSC in Orlando in May, company rep. explained the need for "precision pizza photos" .. no way would I undertake, too much room for error even though to us the photos look fine.

The company that does Little Cesars is very simple and pays a flat fee which more than covers a one top large pizza, slow to pay BUT if you email and nicely remind them they will pay immdiately.
Sinclair Customer Metrics is one. There are two or three others but it's not coming to me right now. It may vary by state or region though.
