True or False? ~ Getting acquainted...

On another forum I participate in, which is for fans of a certain TV show, they have a 'Playground' sub-forum. One of the most popular games there, that just started this Summer, is the 'True or False?' game. It's a fun way to get to know one another a little better. (One of their other most popular games, is the word association game we play here!)

Anyway, I thought it might be fun to play the 'True or False' game here! smiling smiley

It goes like this: The first poster poses a question, which in a way, predicts something about the next poster; which can be answered with either true or false. The next poster answers the question, gives a brief explanation if they so choose, and then poses a prediction/question for the next poster to answer. So on & so forth.

So here's the first prediction/question:
The next poster loves Velveeta Shells & Cheese.

(Now remember, whoever answers, to pose a prediction/question for the poster after them; in the format of 'The next poster...')

Next Poster
lives in a rural area.
Wow! I can never fathom how someone doesn't like chocolate. smiling smiley

Now for the question... false ~ I live in an older neighborhood in a very old (late 1800's) former farm-house, from when this area *was* a rural area; and we have a larger-than-average yard, but it's not rural at all and hasn't been for decades. But I would much prefer to live in an at least semi-rural area!

The next poster has two ovens in their kitchen ~ not counting the microwave or a countertop variety, but regular full-size traditional ovens.

False in reality, writing a blog on divorce, life, ups and downs, and how to make a buck stretch.

Next poster: eating junk and living a long life...possible or not?

Live consciously....
I really don't think so... I feel *terrible* after eating nothing that's 'good-for-you' for more than a day or two! Now, when I was younger, it didn't bother me so much... but from about 35 on, it did.

Now, I *do* eat 'junk' every now & then... a little bit every day, actually ~ like a hershey bar or a couple cookies or some ice cream. But, at *least* 75-85% of what I eat has nutritional value ~ fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans, lean meats, tea; and in small amounts, healthy oils, almonds, dark chocolate. I think it's also good to not eat until you're over-full, even when you're eating healthy stuff. I remember reading once that you should just eat until you're about 90% full. Figuring out where exactly that is, is another trick. smiling smiley

But I think you need to let yourself indulge in at least a little of your favorite junk every now & then for mental well-being. smiling smiley People who don't have always made me a little bit suspicious, anyway. Ha! smiling smiley (Unless, of course, they have specific health issues that truly don't let them.) But I have learned to be more discriminating in the 'junk' I spend calories on. It has to be something really, truly *good*... like sometimes I get an item I usually really like, but it wasn't prepared well this particular time... I won't finish eating it & waste my calories on something I'm not truly enjoying. And not all chocolate-chip cookies are created equal. smiling smiley

So... I guess in conclusion: All junk = no way... Mostly good-for-you with a little 'fun' food now & then = probably the best for physical and mental health. smiling smiley
