Senior (High School) Pictures-What a Racket!!!

Just left the firm that has the contract for shooting senior pictures for the high school yearbook. $200 for the cheapest package if you want any take home photos. These guys make used car dealers look honest.

Um, IMT, isn't there some sort of time limit for having your high school senior pictures taken? I'm guessing, it's probably due to all of the air brushing you needed that racked up the big bill. smiling smiley

OMG Stilllearning. You made me snort. (Sorry Trashman, but you have to admit it was pretty dang funny.)

I do agree that class rings, yearbooks, photos, etc. are getting too expensive for most. Imagine having several kids in the school system.

LJ, I've tested him and I promise you that IMT is not easily insulted. smiling smiley

To think back in the dark ages when I was in high school and we did our homework by candle light my senior photos were $5, the yearbooks were $8 and my class ring was a huge sum--$54. I still have it.

At my HS, the big payout was for a junior prom and a senior ball. Gowns, tuxes, flowers and the whole nine yards times two. And God forbid--you couldn't wear the same gown for both! I borrowed one for my senior ball, but my boyfriend had to pay for all his stuff both times.
