Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...

Is that a good or a bad thing?
For those that want to post a picture and don't know how.....

You have to upload the photo to a third party picture hosting site first.

Here is an easy one:

Then on the right side, you will see an area labeled "bbcode and message forums."

Just cut and paste that to the message here like so:

Yeah, I had a good [jetspizza.com] shop the other day.

Yummy and no pizza mutilation!

Perhaps you should NOT use a huge picture as a signature, as you will offend me and others that take the MS shopping area seriously!

Please keep any signature down to as small as mine is.

I'm not a rocket scientist, but your going to offend more than a few people with that dog on every post!
Uh, I @#$%& *LOVE* dogs, and that's one *hell* of a cute dog and all, even though it's not a Sheltie... but yeah... that would *really* start to get annoying after a while, on EVERY.SINGLE.POST. (:

I agree. One picture of a pup maybe (and even that isn't a sure thing on a job related site) but please people, do not start posting photos as regular signature lines.
I think if a photo in a sig line was the size of a postage stamp or smaller it wouldn't bother me.

Good looking dog, Gypsy. A little bitty pic in your sig line would be better and still show off your baby. In my opinion, the emoticons should be eliminated completely before they get out of hand.

LOL I like your siggy line, MDavisnowell.

As to emoticons, it is MHO that they help to show tone in a post. Some find them unprofessional in a "professional forum". However, not everyone feels that this is or should be considered a professional forum. Some MS as a hobby and for fun while others consider it their profession. Perception is everything, isn't it?

I'm not opposed to the emoticons because I think they're unprofessional. I think they're distracting and I don't think they add anything, but it's minor and not really important one way or the other. I hope when they start dancing up and down the pages we can take another look.

gypsy, since several people have weighed in and said in all sorts of polite and professional ways that your dog is adorable, however using that size of picture in your signature line is irritating, why are you continuing to use it?

I really enjoy your posts and read them all, but, quite frankly, I find that size of picture in a sig line highly irritating and as much as I don't want to do it, I'm afraid I'm going to being forced to toggle your posts, just so I don't expose myself to that irritation. Crazy, huh?

To each their own and I hope you understand. smiling smiley

(heart)

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
Gee whiz, I don't have a good shot of myself sticking out my tongue at your dog or I'd post it (if I knew how). Fun for all!
Stillearning, good idea. Gypsy can post her dog and anyone who is irritated can toggle. Perfect!

My pup is no longer in the sig line. Wow can we please lighten up and enjoy some humor?! That was all I was trying to do!

Do you have BBCODE memorized?

It is a reference of the allowed smilies and the formatting that this forum allows.

I don't think I have ever even changed the font size, or color on a post in the working section of the site. I do like to use smilies and don't have them all memorized.
Bump.

It took me forever to find this thread again when I needed it.
