What a shame.

I've had a coupon for a free meal sitting on my counter for weeks. I wonder how many other people have received and not taken advantage of.

I got a coupon in the mail and have tried to use it 3 times without success. We eat at Chipotle a lot. All 3 times we've gotten through the line with our bowls and presented the coupon at the register, only to be told "our system went down and we can't scan the coupon." The 3rd time it happened, I considered just walking away and letting them keep the bowls they had prepared, but we wanted the food so I paid.

Pretty strange that their system has "gone down" 3 times in the last month and all 3 times happened to be at the exact time I tried to use the coupon.

I wonder how many people have received and tried without success to take advantage.
During the gift certificate month, I had two shops and in one of the two, I couldn't use the gift card. Same thing: the "system was down" and they couldn't accept the gift card. But my credit card they could accept just fine. I thought it was weird, but since it was a shop, I just paid with my CC and reported what happened.

They closed all their stores for four hours to talk about getting their act together. John Oliver did a nasty video on Chiptoles making fun of their 1100 calorie burrito people think is healthy. That's too many calories unless your Micheal Phelps swimming his six to eight miles. The food is excellent, the Media is killing them on healthiness of their burritos after the fact. How will they win back customers, because the numbers show a less resilient consumer. MacDonald's was able to change their menu and get everyone back on board by bringing Breakfast All Day, what will Chipotles do to regain momentum?

I love Chipotle and I use their online nutrition guide to help me decide what to eat.

Why do you believe everyone is back on board with McD?

McD's can serve breakfast all day and I still won't eat there. I don't miss their food, just the nice bonuses I used to receive.
I don't think McDonald's has gotten everyone back on board by serving Breakfast all Day. I think they are desperately trying to recapture the public's attention and they haven't made it yet.

Best luck to Chipotle. I think eventually they will bounce back from this.
There seem to be more people dining at Chipotle this month when I have gone. I think they are on the road to recovery.

As for McDonald's, they seem to be spending a lot of money to advertise their menu changes and maybe it will work - but currently, I don't think the world is back on board with them. I might stop in for their all-day breakfast - but, wait - no biscuits - sausage biscuit is all I really want and they don't have that! And their new burger creations are just more of the same.
I have been going to McD's daily to get their buy one, get one flavored coffees, just love them, both for 1.50.
My Chipotle is busy as well.

I was able to use my free coupons without a problem. Chipotle stock has gone up quite a bit over the past few days.

McDonald's is gross. I won't eat that crap. I didn't do their shops--you literally can't pay me to eat there, LOL.
I didn't say I eat there or work their shop, the only FF I eat at is Inn@Out once a month doing a job. I said, their iced coffee (two for one) is great.

I wasn't responding to your email, Irene. Why did you think I was? I didn't quote you.
Excuse me...post, not email. Been a long day. Anyway, my post was just a general comment directed to everyone...not sure why you took that personally since you never wrote anything about eating there or doing shops. Had a rough day today?
Can we get a grip? Everybody who posts after you is not addressing you or your post. Let's not make our forum an unpleasant place with oversensitivity and defensiveness.
They lost $72M, but how much did they gain?

The one near me still has lines around the corner!

Yeah, my locations get pretty swamped, but not lines around the corner. Just lines outside the door, but that's enough when it's freakin' 92 degrees outside!!!
I had written I was sorry, heat and fire left me brain dead, but somehow it didn't get posted?

In-N-Out is not fast food! It's a quick dining experience!

You should be ashamed of yourself going there only once a month. :-)
