You tell me--------->I bought a $100 gift card to use for gas stations shops. When I open the card and proceeded to use it. It had $1 balance.angry smiley So where did my $99 goangry smiley

I would tend to stay away from certain companies that resell gift cards. Sure you may save anywhere from 10-25 dollars per card which tends to be my "average". I have visited gift card "directories" which list gift card resellers. Do your research on the company, I have been "burned" out of a few hundred dollars, which the CC company will take care of, just ensure checking the balances of the cards when receiving the cards, just in case the cards are marked invalid or zero balance.

Basically do your research and stick with trusted companies.
I use gift cards all the time but, I only buy cards listed on the slickdeals web site. When ever I need to purchase anything I always search slickdeals first. This week I bought $60 worth of assorted towels and received $60 in points (expire in 30 days) 24 hours later. I used the points to buy a coat for my son. I added $10 to my Starbucks app using Visa checkout and received a $10 bonus.
Go to the web site of the card and you will have your answer.

I often buy on eBay and look at sellers information and stats before a purchase. Paypal is usually good about standing behind your purchases and backing you up if something goes awry. This could happen with any company, though. :/ Sams Club often has good gift card sales! I got a multipack of $75 Outback cards for $70 and it had the $10 bonus card in it. Saved around $15 bucks and sales tax in the state is low.

I use gift card granny, it is like the google of gift card sellers. Most of the sellers on gift card granny guarantees the value of the card for 90 days. I usually buy cards that have a 20% discount but know I will use it within 3 months so I do not get screwed. I buy on ebay sometimes but no guarantee there.

I bought 2 gifts cards from (commercial link removed by Mod. Forum does not permit commercial links)
Sold a $25 gift card to amc theaters for $17.29 in Amazon creds at cardpool.com... they seem legit... they require the sellers to input credit card info to sell so they can go after the scammers...

The laptop i have now i purchased a $250 bestbuy card at giant eagle (regional grocery) and got $1 off per gallon of gas up to 30. My car only had a 14 gallon tank... it was $300 at best buy... should have purchased a $300 gc... not sure why...

It can up your profit margin on shops... most allow gift card usage... and if you can combo it with a coupon you are making bank...best to ask first about both...

I use cardpool and giftcard granny. Only had one that was bad, and the gift card company sent me another one. I use MyPoints for online purchases, and I have gotten an average of $100 worth of gift cards a year. Not much, but everything adds up.
Mypoints gives me about $20 a year. I dont purchase much. I just crank out their bonus mails 1or 2xs a week.

I sell gift cards on eBay (mostly Rue21 and Office Depot) and they usually go for 85%-90% of the available balance.

If you're going to buy through eBay, make sure the seller will offer to send you the plastic card; a lot of the 'egift card' auctions are cards either bought using a stolen credit card or are traded on black markets (deepweb). Buyer beware.
I often buy gift cards and other gift items form JLmorison, and by far i have found it one of the best website having various collections of gifts products..

I would say this wasn't Worth it
If you look at my 12/11/16 post you will see the resolved version. Apparently debit cards do not read the same as a credit card in a CRIND. Where a CC can place a hold of up to $75 on your CC at a gas station, a debit card can not put a hold on any amount sanctioned on the debit. The debit card can be used inside the station to finance for gas but not at the pump like the credit. The CRIND is programmed to read CC not debit cards.

I purchased debit cards to preformed gas station shops. They work. I just have to know how to submit the card payment on the CRIND.smiling smiley

Please, no "I used debit cards" all the time replies. I do what works for me smileys with beer
If you Yaarlo app and shop online. You get points/cash for buying gift card from them and plus more points/cash shopping on their site. And i believe points/cash submitting a picture of your receipt
