Tractor Supply had two pack traps on sale for $25 last time I was there. Worth a shot to stop by and see if they may have the same sale. I trapped a few ferals this year that way and there was a local shelter doing reduced spay and neuter on ferals that came in in live traps
Thank you so much! I normally hit TS for clearance clothing this time of year. Been avoiding since I really want solar powered hot wire and and a dumo wagon I can pull by hand or the yard mower.
I have visions of grandeur & I want birds back in my life.
The birds I want are:
Naked Necks (aka, Turkens), yeah they're ugly, but no one chicken hustles them. They are dependable layers even when the temperature is over 100f.. They love to forage and I've never had any health issues.
Guineas, well this is mainly to make the neighbors crazy with the noise. They do eat bugs and predators rarely kill them. But mainly to make the new weekend neighbors crazy with the noise factor.
Brown Chinese Geese, theoretically excellent for weeding the yard and garden. If I'm lucky, they could teach the ChiX, birds are friends and not play toys.
Peacock and 2 peahens; never will be able to afford them, plus they are techiy in my area. No idea what they are good for other than letting you know strangers are now on the property. I do know if the UPS drive shows up often enough they don't announce the visit.
The other animal I would love to own is a Jack. My property couldn't feed it well so a mini donkey would be excellent because they also make the neighbors crazy and warn you, strangers are now on the property.
A neighbor has a pot bellied pig up for adoption. I do it, but I don't think Motel 6 or La Quinta would give me a pass on a pet pig as an allowable animal.
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning; the devil shudders...And yells OH #%*+! SHE'S AWAKE!
