I agree. The MSC employees need to be setting a better example.
I did a brief stint as a MSC editor, VERY brief. It was way, way too hard a job, and I quit fast. I was shocked by how terrible the writing was and the number of spelling and grammar errors in the reports I had to edit. I am not a master writer, with outstanding spelling and grammar skills, so I grade easy - I can only imagine what some of the English majors who post here might have thought of the reports! Since I was paid per report, the time it took me to edit a report made it so not worth it. Believe it or not, many mystery shoppers write as though English was not their first language, requiring massive spelling and grammar errors and a lot of re-writes. This is probably because the MSCs do not spend any time screening applicants for proper spelling, grammar, and writing skills. Since their own employees make errors like this, apparently it is not important to the companies. They figure the client doesn't see their employee emails to shoppers and an editor will fix problems with reports before they go to the client.
