Any good movies/shows on Netflix and Hulu?

We got rid of Dish years ago and now only watch Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. I'm binge-watching Mad Men but am almost done. I'm looking for any movie or tv show recommendations for these channels. My favorite genre is horror, but most of the horror movies on Netflix got terrible reviews. I also like comedy, drama and documentaries.

For comedy I used Netflix to watch all the seasons of How I Met Your Mother. I watched Grey's Anatomy (drama) on both Hulu and Netflix.
If This Is Us is available, watch it. It is very well done, and the storyline is awesome!

I just finished watching Orange Is The New Black, and it was pretty good.

I'm watching Frankie and Grace on Netflix now. I like it!

I've been watching Gotham, Supergirl, OITNB, and TWD. I also watched Daddy's Home on Hulu last night. Gave me a few chuckles smiling smiley

I'm watching the final episode of The OA tonight after I finish a report. It's good, disturbing though. It's 8 1 hour episodes.
For those with Amazon Prime Sneaky Pete finally starts in a few days. The pilot came out like a year ago.
Npr has some good shows for free... also plenty of anime online at a number of sites

On Amazon Prime, I absolutely ADORE Mozart in the Jungle. I laugh through the entire thing.

I'm also a big fan of The Newsroom (which is also on Amazon) and Alpha House (which is another Amazon original, although be warned- it's not finished and might not have been renewed).
Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions! I love This Is Us. I'm halfway through Stranger Things. I enjoyed OITNB up until the most recent season, which I couldn't get into. I loved Transparent, season one, but again couldn't get into the following season.
I am currently binge watching Shameless on Netflix starring William H. Macy and I am hooked! It's pretty racy with lots of nudity, so not for kids or those that might be offended by this! Joan Cusack's character is hysterical!!
Netflix - Black Mirror.

I watched "Pretty Woman" as I am in love with Richard Gere, and enjoyed it more than the first time. Julia Roberts was great.....saw this on my Lifetime cable channel.

Live consciously....
I concur on Black Mirror and Mozart in the Jungle. Another to check out is A Series of Unfortunate Event on Netflix.
Try checking out the reviews for the Department Q trilogy. I highly recommend this little foreign gem of a series!

I don't have Netflix or Amazon and I'm currently in the middle of 3 free months of Hulu but haven't really watched anything yet so I'm not sure what is where but..... I wholeheartedly support the Newsroom recommendation as well as Shameless. Both are great shows. I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones as well and I just started watching The Leftovers and I'm totally hooked.

Did you finish Stranger Things? What do you think?
I found a great website a few weeks ago that has everything listed for tons of streaming services. You can highlight the ones you have access to and the break down the list in different ways. You click on something and it will tell you where you can watch it. I can't remember the name but I can post it when I get home tonight if anyone is interested.

I haven't finished it yet, but plan to soon. Still watching Mad Men (2 more seasons to go). So far, though, I love Stranger Things! So do my kids.
If you're into a bit of culture....I'm now hooked on a foreign series on Netflix called Kurt Seyit & Sura. It is a love story that takes place during the war between Russia and Turkey. It is super good.

The Crown on Netflix is very good. Claire Foy received an award for her acting in the series.

I do recommend to people they skip the first episode. Blech.

This is a sidebar, but if you watch Hulu don't forget to link your account to the Plenti Rewards Card. They offer 200 points ($2) for activating a smart TV, Chromecast, Roku, or other device. They also offer 200 points just for watching certain shows (200 points each for dramas, comedies, and kids' shows). Lastly, the offer 525 points for referrals.

For those not familiar with Plenti, you can spend the points on Exxon or Mobil gas, purchases at Macy's, and many other places. Feel free to PM me if you want more info.
I can't wait for Santa Clarita Diet to start on Netflix (early February, not sure of the date). It's a horror-comedy series starring Drew Barrymore as a cannibal. I saw the preview, and it looks like it's going to be very entertaining. smiling smiley

Also, if you enjoyed Orange is the New Black you might also like Wentworth on Netflix. It's set in a women's prison in Australia. Unlike OITNB it is VERY dark and intense and straight up drama.
