In a region on the Philippines, the poor go through garbage landfills looking for chicken scraps that restaurants throw out. What's even more disturbing is that pagpag(chicken scraps) is in high demand for the poor and people sell them on the street markets. In many cases, people get sick because of the lack of sanitation through the cooking process and because the chicken has already been through people's mouth at the restaurants.
Thought I'd like to share because it gave me some perspective on my life and how we should be grateful for what we already have.
