I did an act of buffoonery while on a shop!

I was on a sandwich lunch shop. The business also sold fresh meat in their display cases. They make awesome meat sandwiches at this place. My sandwich order was a Beef Ball Trip. After I received my sandwich order, which was presented on a rounded metal tray, I walked over to the drink cooler. I held my sandwich tray with my left hand, my purse hung on my right arm, and opened the cooler door with my right hand. It was one of those cooler doors which you need to pull it open. Since I have short arms, I was literally standing right in front of the cooler shelves. I retrieved my bottle soda with my right hand. The cooler door was closing on me from behind. I started to lose my grip on my sandwich tray. The sandwich tray was about 10" in diameter. I placed my bottled soda somewhere as I am trying to prevent my sandwich, which was cut into two halves, from falling onto the floor. I managed to catch most of my sandwich with my right hand while holding onto the tray with my other hand. Only top portion of the 1/2 of the sandwich bread, some of the lettuce shreds and a tomato slice had fallen onto the floor. A couple of customers happened to witness the whole thing. You can tell that the two customers were trying to keep a straight face since I'm pretty sure that incident was pretty funny to see. A female customer replied to me that she would have done the same thing. Anyway, I asked the associate if she can replace what had fallen onto the floor.

Yikes!

Why didn't you retrieve your drink before your food was done? Or place your tray on the counter and retrieve your drink.

More importantly, did the associate agree to make the replacement for you? It made for great reading. Great writing skills. I enjoyed your story.

Thanks for sharing... that does sound like quite the scene...I feel for ya.. I personally hate situations where the attention is all on me lol... hopefully you were able to get your sandwich fixed!
Thanks guys, yes, she did remade my sandwich. I thought I could handle the tray and getting my soda at the same time. Dumb mistake. When I usually get a fountain beverage, I always place my sandwich tray on the table. I misspelled the sandwich name-it was a Beef Ball Tip. I didn't include that incident in the report since it would surely identified me as the shopper.
eyelove2shop, the guideline for the shop was to wait to see if the associate offered a beverage when you paid for the sandwich after it was completed. The purchase requirement was 1 entree/sandwich and 1 beverage. The associate did not offer a fountain beverage cup while I waited for my sandwich order.

Why are you bringing logic into this? Ha
