taxes again!? &^*&%!!!!

ahh... writing all those symbols has a calming effect...

ok... so small buisness claims... last year i thought i had to do one...8 months of shops did it (costed me 75 bucks extra on top of everything for turbo tax... oigh) listed all i did... shops (reimbursements as well), surveys, online winnings (legit... haven't ever won on ones that were not legit and decided to stop doing it a while back)... claimed a loss... i think 150 bucks cause i claimed my cell phone as a buisness expense...

so any suggestions on this year? some of the differences this year will be...

1. money... praise God im earning 25k (last year it was 14k) ... feels good... not humiliating to say how much i am earning on every survey site but now im not in the last bracket! YAY!!...

2. reimbursements do not have to be claimed... im pretty sure...

3. no winnings

4. a car... *pats Super FREEDOM Sam*... his proudly owned 2003 Buick Century, which he was taken to the cleaners on by both the loan company and dealership... but dont blame the car!!

Cooldude,
A reular Turbo Tax will do a Schedule C, which is all that you need. Save the $75 and simplify your life.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Fairly soon here the Turbo Tax for 2010 will be released--it usually comes out a few days before or after Thanksgiving. I go on and buy it in the CD form and it will update as needed. That allows me to make a fast run on my return before the end of the year and still have time to make equipment purchases as needed to ascertain that my business makes a profit and that the net profit is not more than $400 after I deduct my health insurance and all other legitimate expenses.
My sister got an email stating that her Turbotax order shipped yesterday. I will check at Costco for a sale price or rebate when I go to do the last of the Thanksgiving shopping.

I love TurboTax. There used to be really good rebates at all the stores starting in December but last year absolutely nothing. I had to pay full price. What's up with that? I'm spoiled by the rebates and freebies.
I think they did package a freebie with it later in the season. But I have long since given up on Quicken to keep records and so a pack with that as the freebie is not interesting. And since I do taxes for everybody in the family, I go on and buy the home and business edition so it covers everybody's "issues" and the promise to do their tax returns is one of their "Christmas gifts" in their Christmas stockings. :-)
