Market Force...again

A few weeks ago (had almost forgot about it until today when I heard from 'Samantha'), I received two shop confirmation emails. Ironically, I had family in town and was nowhere near a computer all day, so I was curious, especially when I saw they were scheduled for the next weekend when I would be out of town.

I emailed the help desk and explained I didn't sign up for them and wasn't sure where they came from. I was told that a scheduler had called me and I accepted. NOPE. Nope. nope.

They 'removed' them, at what consequence to me I'll likely never know. Glitch?

It happens from time to time with various MSPs. It has never happened to me with MF, but I have had it happen when I was assigned a shop several thousand miles from me with a different company. I suspect the scheduler pulled up the wrong email address or shopper number or whatever it is that they pull up. It was quickly rectified. I have also had a scheduler talk to me about shop A which I agree to do and I am promptly assigned shop B instead. A goof. Who is perfect?
I've gotten emails stating I was automatically assigned a shop. All I did was go into the website, cancel the shop and take myself off of automatic assigning. That cleared up everything.

I hear so many negative comments about MF, but I, for one, love shopping with this company. They pay on time, unless there may a glitch that happens very rarely, and their report forms are the easiest of all the companies I'm signed up with!

Overall, I have no problems with them. Good shops and reliable pay so far. After hearing about how many get deactivated with relatively no explanation, I wanted to be somewhat extra careful. Something like this just makes me paranoid, or that it could be the last straw even though it's not really my fault.
I agree, SoCal, I love working with them and have not had any problems. Love there shops and will do them as long as they let.
I was actually de-activated once without notice and called to find out why. I was told because of so many cancellations, which were no fault of my own, they decided to de-activate me. But they reinstated me because I had been with for such a long time and told them I would earnestly try to get every shop I accepted completed.

I try very hard to complete all of the assignments I accept unless there is an extremely strong reason why I must cancel. As far as rescheduling, I've done that too but only when it's because of not having enough funds by the time I get to the shop, or if illness keeps me from completing the shop right.

I also try to keep their help desk informed as to why I had to cancel a shop. I've found that if I go through my email account and send an email to their help desk, it gets to them. I've had problems going through the link on their website and will send then a copy of the email that I sent to them.

Does MF deactivate us without notice, or do they send an email or call to let us know we've been deactivated? I still have shops to do for them this month, (these shops are still showing) but when I log in, the "select shops" option is not there.
From personal experience, they didn't notify me. If the "select shop" option is gone, you may have been deactivated. You should call them...I found their number but forget exactly where I found it. Going through the help desk can sometimes be a hassle, and I wanted to know immediately why I wasn't able to accept shops. I also had shops that I needed to complete and I completed them.

They do NOT notify you...when you stop seeing jobs, you need to contact them and see if your still active, happened to me and I was told I was not allowed to work both Las Vegas and L.A., so when I tried to do a job in L.A. (not knowing about the Vegas thing), I was de-activated. Cruel and harsh, kinda felt like a #, not a person.

My experience with them

I started shopping for Market Force over a year ago. I enjoyed the shops available in my area and completed over a 100 of them when something strange happened. I notice that my access to the web page was limited. I could enter shop I had already been assigned but I could no longer search for open assignments.
I tried contacting Market force through the web site, by email and by phone but got no response for weeks. Finally I received an email saying they had gotten my voice mail but they conduct audits of their data base periodically and “When we find Shoppers who have an especially casual or critical approach as compared to the average Shopper, we may have to remove them as Shoppers.”
I replied to this email and thanking her for her explanation but asking for clarification. I also explained the number of shop I had completed and with no feedback provided by Market Force at all I was left to assume that the work was satisfactory. Obviously this was a mistaken assumption and so I asked the following.
“I would be very interested in knowing which side of this spectrum I have fallen in so that I may improve my future evaluations whether they are for Market Force or other companies. We cannot grow if we are never allowed to learn from our mistakes, so I would greatly appreciate any feedback you could supply.”
This got me a prompt “You are out.” End of story. But as it turned out this was not the end. I next received and email apologizing for the mix up and instructing me to try the web site again.
I did try the site and found that my search ability had been restored, but there were no available shops in my area. This continued and so I asked another shopper in the area if she had this problem. Well no surprise there, she told me (and in fact showed me under her log in) that there were plenty of shops in the area, in fact all the same shops I had completed before. So while I can access the site, I am blocked from any shops I have previously completed.
I was surprised by this lack of professionalism on the part of Market Force, as I work for many different companies that supply feedback and treat shoppers with some respect. Have other people experienced this from Market Force (or other companies)?

I was deactivited twice. The second time I was not able to get onto their website to complete my assignments. I was told they could get on. They then deactivted my account. I personally do not want to work for them anymore, since they are unprofessional.
You never say which side of Marketforce you are dealing with. Blue or Purple?
Truthfully I do at least 30 blue shops a month and have always been happy with them.

Perhaps you have only been blocked from the current phase of shops and will be able to see them next month. Like what happens when you choose the wrong radio button on the qualification.

I am blocked on the Blue side (purple works but haven't found a job there worth the time) I wish it was only temporary but alas it’s not, its been many months. I still get in but I cannot see any of the jobs I did before the original shut down. (My friend can see them all so I know they are still there)

I just took a new shop they posted in my area; maybe if they expand I'll be able to work for them again. It’s very strange, if I'm not good enough to do the shops I spent 6 or 8 months doing then why would I be good enough to do their new ones? It’s not like they gave me any guidance, in fact I emailed and asked where in the spectrum I fell so that I could improve future shopping and was told it was privileged information!

It’s too bad I like the shops and they paid on schedule but there is no feedback and they are totally unprofessional in dealing with shoppers.
I'm confused. How did you take a new shop if you're closed out of the site? Are you saying you just don't see the OLD type of shops that you used to do? If so, you may have been removed from that client only and can still see other shops. Please explain how you were able to select a new shop with them.

Thanks.

I was at first removed from selecting any shop; there was no " WebFC™: Select Shops” choice listed on my web site. I could access the rest of the site and input shops I had already been assigned, but not view any new assignments.

After many calls/emails etc. and being told I had been totally removed for reasons that were 'privileged information' and could not be disclosed to me, I received an email from another person at MF saying they were sorry for the mistake and I could not access my web page.

Since that time I have been able to view limited shops and only ones I had not performed before. So yes, my status now is that I have been removed from any client I worked with for the first 6 - 10 months that I worked with MF.

I am left to wonder how with no input from MF and no feedback (other than being booted from my previous clients) am I now good enough to work on new assignments. How am I to do (or not do as the case may be) whatever caused my expulsion in the first place if they never disclose exactly what that was?
Well, at least they've taken you back for new shops. It's weird I agree, but most shoppers who have been deactivated are not taken back at all. Maybe it's a demographic thing. How many different clients are you talking about? Were you ever ID'd at any shop that you know of? Did you ever report late?

I hope you can find out why this happened to you. If a scheduler calls you for a shop, maybe you can ask him/her if they can explain it.

I was de-activated last Nov. and have, to date, trimmed 13 lbs. off my frame; the overwhelming class of shops I completed were for 3 FF chains. THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU Market Force!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was never ID’ d that I'm aware of and I have never submitted a late report. If I have done anything unacceptable to them, I don't know it because I have never received feedback of any type.

I was working grocery shops,(both mystery and audit) and several types of retail as well as FF (yes shopperbob they put on the pounds! but I miss that one with the great burgers!) all in all probably 7 or 8 different clients. I was covering several counties since I work on one side of the Hudson and live on the other. I was getting calls all time "Please help me I'll give you XXX if you do this or that." I always did my best to get it done when they needed it. Even after I was blocked I got a call for three shop (which I was blocked from) they needed done and bonused. I did them. Wonder if the scheduler got in trouble for giving it to me ... or maybe a 'gold star' lol
For the second time in a month, I was deactivated by Market Force due to "an e-mail bouncing back to them." I already changed my e-mail once for them, when they told me I reported them as spam ( I didn't.) Then, on the new email, I made sure to add them to my contacts so it wouldn't think it was spam. I was getting emails from them, and now this. It's really frustrating, but I want back on their board because, of the companies I've signed up with so far, they seem to have the most shops available in my area.
MARKET FORCE IS ACTIVELY RECRUITING. THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SHOPPERS TO COVER THE ASSIGNMENTS WITHOUT A BONUS ATTACHED. I DID ONE TODAY THAT WAS BONUSED, BUT WAS TOLD BY THE SCHEDULER THAT BECAUSE ITS THE END OF THE YEAR, THEY CAN'T BONUS THEY WAY THEY DID BEFORE

I'M AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. I WORK TO MAKE A WAGE. IF I CAN'T MAKE A PROFIT I WON'T DO THE JOB. END OF STORY. THERE ARE PLENTY OF MSC'S OUT THERE...MY GUT SAYS THEY NEED US JUST AS MUCH AS WE NEED THEM.
suzy, yell at Market Force, not us, LOL!

I have had the exact opposite problem with Market Force, they are all of the time asking for shoppers in my area and when I out in a n app about 3 weeks ago, I have heard nothing from them.
