CORI 40 CENT Shops?

Has anyone else seen these "popular teen clothing retailer" shops that pay $.40-$1.25?

I'm new to CORI... is this what I can expect?

Well first off you aren't mentioning the reimbursement which I think is around $10, and they generally fly off the job boards around here before they even get a bonus fee. The thing you need to know about CoRI is that they will keeping bonusing the shop up to $50 until somebody takes it. So those 40 cent fees will probably be up to 5 dollars next week. Its all a waiting game until you decide the fee is good for you.

Well, that's fair. I'm not mentioning reimbursement because I won't even look at a shop that has a "commission" of 40 cents.

Most MS companies that offer shops with primarily reimbursement pay usually advertise that the "commission" is "Up to $10 reimbursement," for example.

I do see some shops that are bonused nicely, so I guess with them it's a wait-and-watch game?

Thanks for your insight!

This might be a subject for a whole other thread, but I'm wondering: has the $50 cap decreased? It looks like mine now top out at $40, even for distant shops that have been posted for a very long time. Just wondering if that's something that is unique to my area, or if this is universal.

Thoughts, anyone?
Since I had one 2 weeks ago at $44 it seems the cap isn't $40. I'm not even sure that $50 is a real cap. Usually by that point they must be finding someone to take the job. They also don't negotiate anymore (supposedly), but I have to wonder when the job reaches $50 with no takers maybe they will accept counter offers. I haven't had occasion to try it out yet.

Thanks for your response, Lisa. I had one a couple of weeks ago at $50, so this appears to be a recent change on my end, too. Shops that were showing up on my list last week at $50 are now down to $40 -- for the same dates and shops. I know they do sometimes accept (or even solicit) counter-offers off the charts, but the shops used to stop at $50 on the general self-assign offer list.

Anyway, I was just curious to see if anyone else was seeing the same thing on the offers list. Thanks again for responding!
Nothing near that high here this month. The board is cleaned up early. Slim pickins'...

Well I have done that shop and gotten a commission of more than $.40, but this is one of those instances where I might do it for the reimbursement. Last time, I did it it was $14 and I have 2 kids in their target demographic. It is absolutely the easiest shop I have ever done.
I am still wondering how I lucked out with my first CORI job...it paid $70 something. I am not kidding. It was for a retirement home and I have never since it or anything like it since. I am beginning to love CORI. I wait til the jobs pay what I think is a fair fee. And...they are a delight to deal with on the phone. Not to mention they pay quickly!!!
Assuming you are not just out in the boonies those jobs can get fairly high with good reason. The rotation on them is very long, like 2 years. I had done several for another company and was kicking myself when CORI got them. I finally had one at double what the last had paid. It is probably one of the "harder" reports by CORI standards, but still a helluva lot easier than for the other company.

The shop is a decent one, if you have kids in that demographic. CoRI really doesn't do very many traditional "reimbursement" type shops, but this is one that should be branded as such. I'm sure if they titled their emails "Free Kids Clothes!", the response would be different.
I've only seen teen apparel shops in my area. They are usually gone the day they are posted. Commission ranging $1-2, with $14 reimbursement.

I see $50 for several shops on my job board. Too bad I don't qualify for the shops for that client. sad smiley

I rarely take any of their shops when first offered, but I have been paid over $30 to do fast food shops through them, and $45 to do a craft/fabric shop!

and what good is a $5 fee with a $10 reimbursement? Unless you live across the street, there still has to be a good hour or so involved in the shop and report at a minimum -

There aren't a lot of CORI shops that take even an hour including the report. I know about the shops mentioned and I wouldn't do them for any fee, but some people with kids like getting a discount on those clothes.

What do you mean if you wait it out the amount will increase? I have several in my area available but now wondering if I shouldnt wait so it will increase in money. Can someone explain it to me please Thanks
Shops that are not taken immediately at the starting fee will increase as the month wears on. It's a waiting game that can be worth it if you would rather do one job at $15 instead of 3 at $5. How high they go is going to depend on other shoppers in your area. Some shoppers are stuck with areas where people grab them right away or after only an additional buck or two and jobs rarely make it to double digits. I have some competition who like to take certain big box stores at $4. Since the same shopper can only go back every 60 days I can snag the same job for $15 to $25 several times a yearsmiling smiley

I don't know. If I need something and I can get it for the reimbursement alone I'll do the shop. I think it's frugal & smart shopping on my part. Maybe I just see things differently?
