I needed info on this as well before my vacation a few weeks ago but was not able to find much.
Ok now you've piqued my interest. We are planning a week vacation there I early June.

Is it worth investing my time in shopping the park or aspects of he park/hotels?
what are the reports like? What is the time investment?

After all it is a vacation.

I can't do any Disney shops anymore as my daughter works there but I will say when I did the only ones I did were bus and valet; also the Disney Store. I have seen ones for the Disney owned restaurants but they were for an outside company (think checking credit card info -- it was something like that) and only paid for one person to eat and I haven't seen those in over a year. I have seen shops for buying tickets off site but not on Disney property and those were about a year ago too.

I have done restaurants and hotels located on Disney property that are not owned by Disney but I have never seen Disney attractions or hotels shopped. I am not saying they aren't but in my twelve years I have not come across it and in the five that my daughter has worked in attractions she has never come across it.

I have the same question as Kalfini. Right now, what type of DWS are done? I know some of the different restaurants there are still shopped by the respective companies that do the restaurant chains and outside DW. Last time I saw the valet, bus and tickets were done by the same company and it was 3 years ago. The timeshare and travel info desk at the hotels are stil being done by 2 different companies currently.

Has anyone done recently the bus/valet/tickets/theme park experience for DW corporate? What about Disneyland?
I see the valet shops every month for a different company than before. I haven't seen anything for Disneyland but I don't pay attention to that either.

Well I can tell you that when I worked at Disney World at the most popular attraction in the parks, we were NOT mystery shopped. Our performance was MORE than evaluated by our customers. If we did something wrong, customers would report it to managers in a heartbeat, and if we did something right, we usually got reported for that too and rewarded. In the parks, there's probably very little need of mystery shoppers. I can see the hotels and restaurants and maybe some of the retail locations needing it but I'd be skeptical about getting free admission just to MS. For some of those "shops" you'd be standing in line for 3 hours just to evaluate 3 people! tongue sticking out smiley

But hey if anyone finds them, let me know. I miss getting free admission!!
Which attractions did you work at? My daughter has worked at Soarin', It's Tough to be a Bug and Mission Space over the years and she would agree with everyone you say...the guests sure do have opinions of how the attractions should be run!

That's why I asked what are the specifics shops being done right now so we won't go into a hopeless attempt to find a non-existent shop. The only reason that tickets were given for free in the past was when DW was evaluating the sales presentation of the hopper tickets. I have seen a FL based ms company was advertising shops at universal and DW but it was at restaurants so the entrance fee is not paid as access to the restaurans is free.

I saw a DW shop the other day that was shopped by a competitor. It wanted you to have at least one child between 2-12 I believe. It would pay for tickets for two children and two adults. I can't remember if it also payed a fee for the shop.
Me too. We did DL for 2 years until that MSC lost the contract. Isn't funny if "we" post the MSC and shop, it's a ICA Violation, but yet these MSC's want us to refer people to them? Seems a little 1 way street to me.
I don't see what the big is. What? they actually might get shoppers that want to work for them? and some without paying a referral fee to another shopper? OH my...lol That would just be terrible

I used to shop Disneyland for 2 yrs. We got year passes for free, got to shop club 33, two times and that was awesome. I just wish I knew which MSC does them now. They are a lot of fun.

if you're in FL, most of our amusement parks gets shopped. Keep looking- you will find them. Then be glued to the computer when they go out. I've just missed 3 or 4 of them this year!! lol.
Monarch 2003, is WDW currently being shopped? What type of shops/reimbursement do they have?
@ 57carol.....lol..Yeah it was really really nice and lots of fun. In the beginning though, not so great. Until I got the hang of doing it. The reports took a real long time to do, esepecially when I would have 10 shops in one day while there. grinning smiley
