OOPS.

thanks
I have done several shops with them, but doubt I will keep applying for shops. They pay, but it can take more than 3 months to receive payment.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about our company or anything that you have read about Sentry Marketing on this site or any other forum.

You may be surprised to learn that many of our harshest critics on this site are not registered to shop with us and/or have no first hand experience with us. Like any other mystery shopping company, we have our share of shoppers who don't care for us and our share of shoppers who enjoy working with our team. Here are some threads from this site that may give you another view of our company:

There are a lot of great things going on in our company including a new version of our shopper support center website (this should be launched by the end of May, 2012), paying shoppers quicker, and launching our monthly tablet computer giveaway in December (we're giving away two 7" tablet computers every month in 2012).

Please do not hesitate to contact me via private message or email (dave@sentrymarketing.com). It would be my pleasure to address any concerns you may have about completing assignments for Sentry Marketing Group.

It should not be taking this long for you to be paid. If you have current outstanding payments, please contact me directly and I will see that you are promptly paid.

Actually I am not signing up with anyone who does not pay twice a month and
within 30 days with direct deposit or paypal.

If the company does not meet their obligations, per their contract, I take legal action. Promptly.

As each and every Mystery Shopper should.

Best to all you shopper posters grinning smiley

Dave, if you're wondering how a shopper can react negatively to your MSC when they are "not registered to shop and/or have no first hand experience" with your company then here is how.

I've never done ANY shops for Sentry Marketing. I did register. I receive tons of emails weekly about massages, facials, burgers and BBQ. However, you are associated with a scheduler named Jennifer B.

Jennifer B. was also the scheduler for Secret Shopping Services. Unfortunately, I did a few shops for them. Of course, I had problems getting paid. I emailed Jennifer B. many times since she scheduled the shops. I never heard from her....EVER. I was left to deal with SSS on my own. I burned that bridge and never looked back. I got my money.

Jennifer B. may be working for you now but a zebra does not change her stripes. Frankly, I have no other reason for not trying Sentry. It's just that Sentry has knowingly or unknowingly associated itself with someone who has behaved badly in the industry. Jennifer B. might be perfect at Sentry but I remember how extraordinarily BAD she behaved elsewhere.
While the above should definitely be taken into consideration by any scheduler reading this forum, I would say that AnonymousNYC does not fall into the group Dave was referring to, since they ARE registered with Sentry.

Seems like Dave has taken a bad wrap for arguably not being the most tactful poster in the past, but as a MSC, Sentry is relatively well-behaved. They have some nice clients, go over the top IMHO to provide training, have always paid me within the posted guidelines and most importantly, have someone at the helm who responds to problems. Even those who have issues with Dave must admit that every accusation against him gets quickly addressed. He is a real person who seems to care deeply about his company. What other MSC owner takes the time to come here and address every complaint against them?

If you are looking to add a new MSC and Sentry has a shop that you find interesting, I would say it would be worth your time to try them out. There are plenty of shoppers that work for Sentry and have no issues. I am one of them.
Steve. I fall directly into that group. I am not currently registered with his company. Why? Simple. I do not care for the way he conducts himself or his business. Am I alone in this? No. Its a pretty big group and growing...

I did a few shops for them and was not very impressed. It did take close to 3 months to get payment. But, this was after I sent several emails and had received incorrect payments multiple times. I understand that mistakes will happen, but cutting a check for the correct amount just isn't that difficult.

I don't know who you are adn therefore cannot comment on the specifics of your situation. It does sound as if we dropped the ball more than one time with regard to your payment and I apologize for our errors.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if I can be of further assistance.
I appreciate that and I will say that one of the best things about Sentry is that you can certainly have good communication with them. (Especially because it's the boss, lol). My favorite companies have reached that status by fast and consistent pay, but with that said, communication with them is not always the best.
Dave. This board has a strict policy about personal attacks. Otherwise, I would get into details. Its simply enough to say I am not a member of your fan club...

mrcomputer101,

I understand very clearly that you don't like me. I don't have an understanding of why or the reasons that the details would have to be communicated in the form of a personal attack.

Edited to add:

I would like a better understanding of what it is about the manner in which I conduct myself and my business that offends you. If your feedback is not appropriate for public view based on the policies of this forum, please do not hesitate to provide the information via PM.

Thanks

Dave
