Never had a problem with them. Done restaurant, auto, retail, fast food and bar with them.
Bestmark has been good to me. They have always paid on time and have been easy to work with.
I've never had a problem with them. They have always paid me in full and on time.
I've never had a problem. Twice in 8 years I've had deductions. Both were due to being late. You MUST have your report in by 10:00 AM CST the day after. If it's in at 10:01 AM CST you WILL lose money, no if's and's or butt's!

My daughter loves Bestmark, never any problems either.
No problems here, either. Great company in my opinion, obviously sometimes they offer too little for a job but once you figure that out, you can just skip it. Pay like clockwork.

My only dislike about Bestmark is the paper check, but as long as they pay me, it's a minor inconvenience.

No problems here either.
Now, I'm not fond of their one shop with a Big Box store, I get tired of the survey. My DH loves this shop. My problem is whenever I go in, I always find something to buy! LOL!
I have read that if they have to call you they start making deductions.
Could it be that maybe you are not explaining correctly somewhere? You said that they have had to call you many times for clarifications.
Also, my husband is 53, and I'll be 50 this year. We are older and have no problems picking up the jobs with them.

They've only called me once, and I did not get deducted. My only deduction was a $2 late fee which was deserved since it was my own fault I didn't submit my report on time.

I have to jump in here and say I'm 74 and I'm pretty sure they don't pick on old people. Bestmark has always treated me well. At one time, I was doing electronic store audits for GFK, so that prevented me from doing a lot of the Bestmark mystery shops in my area. Nevertheless, I've done a few shops a year since 2009 without issues. If I were doing 55 shops a year for them, I'd be learning what they wanted.
Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I have worked with them for a while. There newer editors have called on some of the different shops but I had no deductions. Almost every deduction I have had for this company was my own fault. This past shop I was paid incorrectly but it was the schedulers fault for not putting in the bonus so I cannot fault the company for that. This is a great company to work for. I would definitely contact the company if you feel the deduction is an error or an abuse of power. This is one of my top 5 to work for and everyone I have ever spoke with at this company has always been super sweet and understanding. I think if you talk to someone the company and you may be able to come to an understanding.
My problem with them is that I did some nice shops for them years ago. They haven't had the quality of shops I prefer, so I didn't do any jobs.
Now they have some and I've seen the list, but I understand the "best shoppers" get first dibs. And because I haven't done shops in awhile, I'm not on the preferred shopper list. I've done $200 shops for them in the past and now I"m not good enough?
I'm going to have to pick up a $15 shop with tolls and gas just to get my feet back in the door. I've told the scheduler my creditionals, offered to email old reports so she can see the quality I've done. Nothing.
Now they have some and I've seen the list, but I understand the "best shoppers" get first dibs. And because I haven't done shops in awhile, I'm not on the preferred shopper list. I've done $200 shops for them in the past and now I"m not good enough?

Supposedly my February check due in February got lost, so they say.
Now said they mailed check March 23.
Today is Friday the 30th. NO CHECK IN THE MAIL,
Am I the only one, or is there anyone else who hasn't received a check in March yet ???

Really? That's weird Shoppinalong.
My DH and I are all paid through March 15th from BestMark; we just got checks yesterday that paid for our jobs up through March 10th for him, and March 16th for me.

I received my check either yesterday or two days ago. Date on the check is 3/23 and the "processed date" on the website shows 3/30.

So far my communications have been by email.

Well, now I cant get into my account to see if and when they sent out this second check unless I sign new agreements for working for Bestmark.

Yeah I received mine earlier than that too. I think the processed date is their estimated arrival date for the check. Like I said, mine was printed on the 23rd and I received it either the 28th or 29th (I can't remember when it came)

I received the check today -FINALLY. 5 weeks after it was supposed to be mailed to me.
Someone in that company is not being honest at all.
the date is still holding on the account with a check mark (like done) that it was mailed on Feb 17. (no mention of replacement check.
The check itself is dated March 23. We have very good mail delivery here. It would be unusual for a letter to take 8 days to arrive. And you can't tell by the envelope as you know, since it's a prepaid item with no postage mark.

I have done 2 shops for them.. both lunch shops. My question is where are my ratings?
lucky7s - They don't rate you. They'll contact you if they need something, and they will list on your payment history page any deductions. Otherwise, they accepted your shops and you'll be paid.
shoppinalong - Obviously, it's your prerogative to not shop whomever for whatever reasons. That said, I'm guessing you had one person at Bestmark who made a mistake. I've done probably 100/150 shops with them and have never once had a payment issue, other than a few deductions for inputting shops at 10:01 or later. I might give them another chance personally.
