come on market force

they have been really irritating me lately. auto assigning me shops even though my profile is set to NOT auto assign. then yesterday i got a call and accepted a bonused shop for saturday. so i go and schedule a few other shops around the same area. and this morning i get an email from MF saying they had to cancel the shop due to scheduling conflicts in their system. please don't call me and beg me to do a shop which i finally commit to, only to turn around and say 'sorry we were just kidding'. i generally like them and they make up about 25% of my profit, but geez can they can annoying....

I decided not to take ANY shop from them before they resolve their own 'system's scheduling conflicts!'

You know what? If I am not a good enough shopper to be assigned a shop of MY choice then I am neither a beggar nor a polyfiller to perform only shops that MF wants to push down my throat simply because they won't get picked up......hey, If you want my help clering the leftovers, let me choose my entree first ;-)

Unfortunately MF are very rude. They simply USE their shoppers and treat them like dirt when they have no use for them. They do not know how to GIVE as well as take!
As I've said many times on here, i don't shop for them at all, or any of the companies they buy every year.

Bottom line is marketforce is a bottom of the barrel company. Perhaps we should encourage their big fastfood client to drop them. Without them, they will falter. Their ff client has a very active presence on twitter both their consumer side as well as their corporate office. If enough say something to them on twitter, they will do something about it.

Techman I think we should UNITE on your bright idea. I personally support you all the way. How shall we start? Perhaps encourage all interested shoppers to sign on one thread? Sort of filing a one-voice petition? Then post it as ONE link to Twitter/Facebook/ Social Networks where their clients have a business page?
corporate don't follow their fb page. However they do follow and follow up on their twitter corporate twitter feed directly. And they do follow individual complaints on their consumer twitter as well through their customer service team.

I know because I contacted them about a serious concern about one of their restaurants on twitter on a couple of occassions, and both times it was corrected when I went back 2 days later to see. In the corporate owned store, they put a new manager in place(must of been worse then I was able to see from consumer pov)

In the eyes of them, marketforce would be a supplier, and they expect their suppliers to adhere to certain standards. And they have no problem dropping a supplier if they refuse to come into compliance.

I think it's time we expose mf and their tatics to them.

I'm in.

And I also have been getting auto-assigned shops without my permission to do so!

There is another MSC that has training materials for the ff shops on their website - they are titled "Red and Yellow 2012" - wonder if a change is on the horizon?

I certainly hope so!
@missy, some of the larger franchise owners use their own msc to shop their stores, so they can correct issues before corporates msc comes in. That may be what you are seeing.

Ah, I see.

I've wondered about that - if a franchise owner can self-shop BEFORE the corporate MSC arrives.

Geez, there's money to be made in that for me - if I could write some proposals... hmmm.
MF recently began outsourcing their scheduling to a foreign country. The schedulers call back to back for the same assignments and start throwing out attitude when you decline the shops. No thanks. I changed my profile to no contact and cancelled all the assignments.
I removed my cell number and set my business line to auto-forward the outsourced schedulers directly to voicemail. Ahh... the silence!
I think you are all full of Sh**. I have times that I dislike Marketforce, but they still send me checks every month. Did you do the shops correctly? Are they refusing to pay you for correctly done shops? Or are you just hammering Marketforce without reason? I have to stand up for them on them on this issue.
What thread are you reading? Did I miss someone complaining about a pay issue? People are having problems with auto-assign and don't appreciate getting constant phone calls at all hours from outsourced schedulers. All legitimate concerns in my book. Are you standing up for them outsourcing to India or the Philippines?

If everyone who ever said anything about Market Force was never allowed to shop for another company then there would be way fewer shoppers out there. The only company that seems to have fewer shoppers is Market Force since they regularly purge their shopper database. I don't think anyone on this thread needs to be worried.

You have me mixed up with someone else. And no, it is not crap.

I haven't read the whole thread, however, the last few entries had nothing to do with being paid or not, so I'm not sure why that was even brought up. And, whether the call center was outsourced or not (it really shouldn't have been outsourced but that's a whole 'nother issue), the problem is with the multiple calls which seem to have become an inconvenience and possibly harrassing. Also, on what planet will an unrelated to MF MSC get rid of shoppers because they had something negative to say about MF's business practices? I don't believe the owners of the other MSCs are that stupid and/or ignorant. I stand with LisaSTL.

I use to stand firm behind MF until they stiffed me on two shops where it was NOT my fault that the receipts were printed out wrong by the cashier and I informed them of. They faulted me, said they could not use my reports AND did not pay me.

I am now in the middle of another discrepancy with them regarding a shop I completed last week where they say I did not follow the guidelines and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I did! I threatened to stop shopping for them because of the last two shops they stiffed me on, but if this one doesn't come out in my favor, then I'm gone...and they need me because the area I live in, they have a hard time getting anyone to do the FF and a lot of their fast casual shops, which I get nice bonuses on! They were one of the very first companies I signed up to shop with over 10 years ago after I lost my job and decided to go back to MSing!!

@ Techman,

I think that one of us has to represent the group, gathers ALL these complaints plus all others concerning MF, on various threads on this baord, and presents them to their big FF corporate client. I cast my vote for you to do this...if you so agree, if not please delegate the task including the details of how to go about it, to one of us, preferably in a private message. But to me, you seem like the right guy for the job.

Well, after five emails back and forth with them, I'm gone!!! Although they admitted they could see the confusion on my part, they said they still weren't going to use my report OR pay me!!!

Scheduling conflict issue: I am not 100% sure what happened in this specific situation, but these instances are rare. Sometimes there is a scheduling conflict within our system or it can be caused by a client's special request.

Auto-assigning issue: You can update your auto-assign profile on the Shopper Website, but if you are auto-assigned shops and don’t want them, just let Help Desk know. We’ll be glad to remove them for you.

SoCal Shopper: HelpDesk would be more than happy to take another look at your invalid review. Simply email helpdesk@marketforce.com and we will check it out again.
I did the same thing I did 12 jobs they were rushed jobs and they wont pay me either 300 , plus they owe me then they took me out of the system , really, This company NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN
This is my number 1 supplier of jobs. I get around 3-400 dollars a month from them. I cannot complain, they always worked wonderful with me.

I had contacted <client's name removed> several months ago relating my negative experiences with their MS-provider of choice. I would encourage everyone else who has had similar experiences with Market Force to do the same.

You need to edit this post. IC violation.

Mod note: Yeah, I know this is a year-old post. But still, this happens all the time. Why on Earth do you guys quote the post with an ICA violation in it, WITHOUT REMOVING THE ICA VIOLATION?! Really, people?! Sheesh.
Mueagles, to edit your post and remove the client's name (confidentiality violation), click on the blue link at the bottom of your post on the right side, Edit Post. You will be able to take out the client name and re-save.

gigishopper, you will also need to edit your post - the quote from mueagles contains a IC violation that will remain in your post after he edits his.
Market Force decided to terminate our independent contractor agreement. I don't believe I'm in violation of any active agreement I have with the company.
That may or may not be, but regardless, you are in violation of our forum's posting guidelines, noted to the right: Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies. Please edit your post out of respect for our forum.
mueagles - I don't know why they dropped you, but it may be because you talked about the MSC and the client. This is the sort of information that is usually protected by the independent contractor agreement.
