MarketForce - got paid!!

Hi all,
Geuss what. I feel like a complete idiot. I could have sworn I had set up for them to PayPal me the money, but I logged in, and indeed it does look like I got paid for this assignment. Next time, on forums in general, ( mystery shopping just isn't for me )- I'll do a little research before bashing a company. From what I've been reading they're getting plenty of bashing without my help. Thanks and sorry.

I left this company a LONG time ago and never looked back, not a good match for me. Not enough pay for any of the jobs.....

I hate to hear that you will never shop again, there are GOOD companies you just happened to get mixed with a "not so good" one.
Vicstah, you have aleady posted about this. You registered last month as vicstah1 and posted the below:

Hello,
I did my very first shop with marketforce on Sunday, June 10th. I made an error, in that I went to the register before the ten minute time-frame was up (had to be in the store from between ten and 15 minutes). While at the register, I recognized my mistake, but this was after having purchased my item. I immediately returned to the department. While there, I browsed and chose a different item related to my assignment, so that when I uploaded my receipt there would be the proper time stamped on it. After purchasing that second item, I went home and wrote a really good write up, and had it checked by a veteran secret shopper.
Before entering the info into the marketforce system, I emailed the "help desk" (as we are told to do if there are any issues). I let them know what happened in detail. After waiting 6 hours for a reply from them, I decided to enter the information, as at least that way, I'd have a chance of being paid.
I received a reply email from them on Monday which stated the following: "I’m not sure of the shop outcome at this time, but our Help Desk will e-mail notification to you if there is a problem with the shop. In the meantime, I have entered notes from your message in the shop file."
On the very Sunday that I did my shop, I received a phone call. While I was saying "Hello...Hello, who am I speaking to, etc.?" there was a woman singing on the other end. She sang, in a sort of drunken manner, for about 30 seconds before i hung up. I repeatedly tried to ask who she was, but all that I got was mumled song. I decided to call the number back out of sheer curiosity, and it turns out it was in fact Marketforce. I explained about the call but the woman who answered stated that she did not know who called me, and proceeded to ask me if I was interested in a fast food shop. I told her maybe, and she agreed to call me on Monday (didn't happen).
Now, my sister, (the veteran shopper) is stating that she's heard of Marketforce simply not paying their shoppers. I think she read about it on a forum.
Honestly? I don't think that this is the way for me to make extra money. I may stick to eBay. I have yet to get a response as to whether my shop is valid. I just emailed them to remind them to please let me know if it was/is valid. How long could it take-- and who does it take- to decide if a shop is valid for crying out loud??
Since this was my first shop, I spent hours memorizing the questions, and all that I needed to remember (apparently not long enough, as I hit the register too soonsad smiley) And then another 1.5 hrs writing up and entering the info.
I would love some feedback from anyone out there, if you've got any. I realize that it's totally their call as to whether I get paid, due to my mistake, but why the wait in letting me know?
I realize I posted, but am not at home, so didn't have my password. Did not think it was harmful to post under a different email. Either way, I did not get paid, and think this is just plain wrong.
I have done over 30 shops for this company in last month and have been paid. As long as you follow the guidelines you should get paid.
Received the following on June 13th after emailing them initially on the 10th:
Good afternoon Victoria,

This shop has been approved for payment. Payment for shops completed and approved in one calendar month is sent during the following month. Checks go out between the 15th and 20th of each month. Direct Deposits are posted a few days before that.
(This information is also provided on the Frequently Asked Questions page of our Shopper Website. You did not say if you are signed up for direct deposit or a check. It is obvious their intention is to pay you for this shop.

Since direct deposits normally do not post until somewhere between the 12th and 15th, they would not consider a payment late and would not investigate based on an e-mail 7/10. With checks there would be an expectation of waiting for them to be delivered by snail mail. The best place to start would be the payment history on the website. If it shows you were paid then you need to check the information you provided. Were both the bank account number AND routing number correct? Is your address correct?

As of now, there really is nothing to justify the subject line of this thread.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Thanks LisaSTL
I jumped to conclusions on this, and assumed that because my sister had heard that people weren't getting paid from them, that I was one of them. Also, I had thought I was going to be paid through PayPal. So, next time I'll be certain to check my facts before I post anywhere (looking for a nine-to-five and mystery shopping just isn't for me, so I have no reason to post here again). Sorry guys.

It's not harmful to create a second account, but since you only wanted to complain about a company you had already complained about previously, I would have waited until I got home. Multiple posts giving the same complaint rarely help anybody and can be pretty annoying, not to mention a public internet complant being potentially harmful to the comany's reputation. And, of course, now you have realized that you were wrong and that you were paid. But when you post a complaint about a company on the internet, it is available to aa lot of readers. Now you realize the company did pay you, and I agree, this is just plain wrong. You got paid and the company got trashed.
Thank you for changing the thread title and updating your posts, Victoria. Good luck to you in your other ventures.
