Is this e-mail legit?

I received the following e-mail:

Dear mystery shopper,

You were registered as a shopper with Focus On Service (www.focusonservice.com).
Since they are no longer scheduling shopper reports, they have asked us to send an email to all of their shoppers to ask you to make sure that you are registered with Mystery Shopping Solutions at www.mystshopsol.com.
By being a member of our (free) shopper database at Mystery Shopping Solutions, you will have access to Mystery Shopping assignments for companies all accross the US/Canada.
To register in our database, please click on the folowing link: [www.mystshopsol.com]

Thank you, and good luck in the future

Yeah, I have been registered way before I received an email. Its not a scam that's for sure.

IMO, the email was from Mystery Shopping Solutions and what the email claimed was true.

However, I disagree with how Mystery Shopping Solutions conducts its business and do not care to associate with it.

Registered with them many years ago with the email address I was using for shopping at that time. Took me years to "unregister" and I never gave Mystery Shopping Solutions my current MS address.

Thus my previous comment. =)
Mystery Shopping Solutions is a legit company but I agree with Busy that Matt can be a bit aggressive with email addy collection.

In the past it was helpfully in finding companies, since he supplies addresses to those in need of shoppers. These days it's more of an annoyance since I have my short list of MSCs I like to work with & don't need emails about jobs with companies I choose to avoid.

I also had a professional (non MS) email collected, which I found annoying, but found it was simple to unsubscribe. They purge their database occasionally so you need to verify or resubmit your info every few years.
I got this same e-mail and got the impression that the Mss site is trying to mirror this forum.

Happy Shopping to all.
