Question about Market Force end the month bonuses.

Normally at the end of the month, I get various mass emails from MF (the purple side), offering nice bonuses. A few days ago, I received an email from them for a merchandising job NOT a mystery shopping assignment. Yet their website does not show the bonus amount, it is still reflecting the regular pay amount. How do you apply for these shops AND have the bonus amount reflect on the paperwork, before accepting the assignment? It is too late to work these this month, yet I just want to know for future reference.

Also, how is their speed of pay nowadays? Are they paying in a timely manner? The last time I worked for them, about a year ago, it took me about 6 weeks to get paid, but I was okay with that, since it fell within their payment guides of the shop.

I've been registered with them for at least 4 years and think I've done three shops. In all cases I was assigned through a phone call and insisted on an e-mail confirmation of the bonus. I can't say for sure, but it seems there have been issues between e-mail bonuses and self-assign on the website. Maybe try a search for Certified Field Associates. That was their name prior to being acquired by Market Force.

They dont pay at all , I did 12 merchandising jobs and didnt get paid at all , they have ALOT of complaints about this and they have done this to alot of shoppers , DONT ORK FOR THEM
schekai, you have posted virtually the same thing on two different threads. You need to provide us with some background. What type of shops were they? What excuse did they give you for non-payment?

When you get a notice about a bonus, you have to reply to the email to get the bonus. Then you will either have the original email to prove that was offered, or CPI will reflect new amount.

The CPI is for the blue side, not the purple side.

I think the bonus issue on the purple side is of definite concern. Mine have been offered via the phone, but nothing on the website ever indicated it. I had to ask for them via e-mail when they didn't show up on my assigned locations. The person on the phone sounded exasperated when I requested the information because she could see it and I should trust them. I wanted to have it in print, which I got.

I haven't done them via e-mail as they never change the offering on the site and the bonuses were offered in areas too far away. The e-mails are sent from an e-mail which states don't respond as it won't be read.

I would personally accept on the site to hold the job and then immeadiately go to the message center and indicate that I won't perform the job until I get a confirmation of the amount to be paid.
I love the comment that you should just trust them. How many times have shoppers trusted them and not gotten the bonus because after the job is completed and reported nobody can see there was a bonus attached?

I dont need to give you anything , we are the people getting ripped off by these companies and need to put a stop to this , and for you who keep defending them makes me wonder who you are,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
We are mystery shoppers participating in a professional forum. We are also here providing advice when needed. Yes you do need to provide more information. A baseless claim of being ripped off just doesn't cut it here.

OK, yall, this is me (or I, for the grammatically concerned) showing an ounce of self control and not making a hot response right now. Make a note, as I may crack up any minute. Good job, Lisa.

WOW!!! Thanks, Everyone! I appreciate the great and educational feedback. If my schedule will allow next month, I will give MF a try on their bonuses, to see what happens. Overall, my concern is with all companies in general that like to offer the end of the month bonuses. Because I only get the dollar amount of the bonus in a mass email. Since it is a mass email, it is like what Shelly said, those emails tend to say something like . . . “Don't respond as it won't be read”. Then my fear is like what LisaSTL said “How many times have shoppers trusted them and not gotten the bonus because after the job is completed and reported nobody can see there was a bonus attached?”

If I can and have at least 24 to 48 hours to play with, then I will do as Shelly suggested, when she said “I would personally accept on the site to hold the job and then immediately go to the message center and indicate that I won't perform the job until I get a confirmation of the amount to be paid.” So I will do that with MF, then I will contact the scheduler on the other shops, get an email from them, stating that I will be paid the bonus pay. However the main problem with trying to get something in writing/print from these companies, is there is such a short turnaround time from the time I get a mass email offering the bonus, then applying for the assignment, getting assigned the assignment, and time that the assignment is due. So if I get assigned the assigment, then the window is tiny in regards to trying to get a message or email from the company, confirming that they will pay "X" amount for the bonus, regardless what the paperwork states.

Thanks again, I sincerely appreciate your help :-)

Just today I got a bonus on a job for them. I will be up to 4 in 4 1/2 years. I was on the phone with a shopper friend who said to go for it and hang on to that mass e-mail. He also told me how incredibly easy the job is and it is actually worthwhile for the original fee. I'll let you know if there are any issues with the bonus.

You can also try calling them. On occassion, they answer their phones. If you have the mass e-mail, you at least have grounds to fight with them.

With regard to schekai, this company definitely does not fall on my list of favorites and in general, the pay is too low. Everything I have done for them has been paid, however, a few times I have been forced to jump through some hoops. Did they give you any guidelines or opportunities to fix what happened on the merchandising shops to allow you to get paid?
I have done hundreds of shops for the blue portal and love Market Force. Like Lisa, I've done less than five assignments for the purple side. I saw the $100 bonus one last month and let it pass, but might take it, if it shows up again.

just asking on here instead of starting a new thread - hope that's ok. I have signed up for MF blue, and have done one office supply job for them (I'm new - 2mo), but I can't figure out how to find and sign up for the purple portal (and is it worth it?)...

The actual job went okay yesterday. Any hiccups were on me and once I got everything figured out it took just over an hour and less than ten minutes on the report. Had the timing been better it would have taken just under an hour. I have no concerns they will pay.

It was a visit to a theater I've been wanting to see anyway and I got to check out their screen for the over 21 crowd. Comfortable seats, food & beverage service, a full bar right outside the door and a separate door to the outside. Very intimate with an occupancy of 35. Looking forward to returning as a customersmiling smiley

Blessdx11,

I've found the purple portal to pay very low for the jobs they offer. Some tend to be extremely easy and some extremely difficult for the time and pay offered.

Some like the photo of the ice cream freezers were so fast and easy that although the pay was low, they were local, profitable and easy to rip out in a route loop.

Others like the gift card resets at the convenience stores I wouldn't consider. Low pay and the task cannot be completed in the allotted time.

They pay on time twice a month and reports are very easy.

I haven't taken a job from them in quite a while. I work with several other merchandising companies who pay quite a bit more, have much better jobs, great perks, and allow you a flexible schedule.

They were a good training ground. Read more about them on the forum or ask about the jobs you see posted. Although you will hear from several who do not like the company many will give constructive comments and explain the jobs offered.

Good luck!

Thank you LisaSTL. I appreciate your continued help. Please let us know how things turn out with your bonus (come pay day).

Thank you Shelly, will do.

Blessdx11Personally, I think that MF (the purple side) is a good company to start with while getting into Merchandising, since I have only done Merchandising work for them (never any mystery shopping) . . . yet since their instructions are often easy to understand (at least for all of the jobs I applied for, but they do have difficult merchandising jobs as well) . . . I think that most people that are at least a tiny bit mechanically inclined, should be able to easily do many of the merchandising jobs that come up, BUT I must say that the pay is too low and I no longer do work for them, since I am more experienced and don’t want to deal with the low pay any more. Yet those large end of the month bonuses look pretty good though. However for me, since I entered the realm of mystery shopping and merchandising without any help or guidance from anyone, I had to rely on written instruction, until I could learn how to do both on my own, since I was interested in both careers, to earn some extra income on the side. Yet after doing several jobs for them in the past, I like the fact those jobs gave me a good opportunity to learn & gain experience (so I could move on) and it gave me a company that I could add to my resume. Yet since I have not worked for MF for over a year ago, I was curious to know how things are going with them nowadays, in regards to the timeliness of pay. However I have only worked for them on the purple side doing merchandising work only. I never done any mystery shopping for them . . . because I really did not like the requirements on their covert audits (for example) . . . especially when they involved doing a convenience store and they started talking about (what to do) if you get caught and get kicked out of the store by an employee (i.e. telling what the lower pay would be, since the project was not 100% completed to the instructions). So I steer-clear of those convenience store / snack shops, since it seems like it would be too easy to be caught doing a covert audit and having to spend about 20+ minutes in such a small store.

However I do agree with Kalfini, when they said “I've found the purple portal to pay very low for the jobs they offer. Some tend to be extremely easy and some extremely difficult for the time and pay offered. ” Yet I agree, some of those jobs offer low pay AND the task cannot be completed in the allotted time . . . and I could see that just by reading the instructions before applying for the job, so I opt not to apply for them. Yet the reports are very easy (at least for the merchandising reports I have done while working for them), however I can’t speak for their MS reports.

Thanks so much for the valuable input and comments, Everyone.
