I got the trial gold for 2.95 last month. only planned to use for one month. I reviewed the companies posted and used that data to sign up with them. the bronze does not do much it will not show names. if you do upgrade use a debit card you can control the balance on. they tried to charge me for the 25.00 after trial even when I cancelled 2 days before up date. it did not go thru due to low amount on card. good luck i did get a number of good jobs. on the program

Bronze membership is a waste of money. They will just dangle the shops on your nose that are available only to silver and gold members. Like lakegal2 suggested, go for the gold when it is offered very low. Then, once you have put your foot on the door on some good companies and they know your ability, don't renew. Cancel and insist on it.

I do have to thank Shadowshopper for helping me get my foot in the door. I "joined" them around 2008 and then forgot all about MS. They wanted money to tell me the names of these MS companies. NO THANKS!!! I went back, and rejoined them 10/19/2009. They STILL wanted money for the names!!! NO THANKS AGAIN!!! (I just looked. Turned out I had not logged in for over 1.5 years!) I started getting a phone call from Shelly Martin, asking if I could do a MS here in Tulsa. It was an oil change. I put her off, thinking, either it, she, or Mystery Shopping is a big scam. Maybe all 3 of them. Anyway, in December, I was planning on driving back home to New York and PA to visit family. Shelly had called every single week, almost begging me to help. And every week I would put her off, but I did become more interested again in this Mystery Shopping thing. Anyway, it turned out the Oil Change company was the very same one I have used for almost 30 years.

I told Shelly that I will do this thing ONE time, and if it was a scam, then the only thing I lost was the time to fill out the report. I was already going to take my vehicle to the very same company she wanted shopped. I did my first MS on Dec. 11, 2009. A week later I left for home. I did tell my friends about this, and they all thought I was nuts. BUT, on Jan 25, 2010, still in New York I got an EMail saying this company paid me $40.94! WOW. It might be real after all.

After I got home, I EMailed Shelly and asked her, "What else do you have? I just drove over 4000 miles, and need another oil change!"

And I never sent Shadowshopper a dollar. Shelly told me she got my name and number from them. To this day, I have never paid to get the name of a company.
