GameFilm / audio recorder

This MSP is posting $40 non-reveals in my area and the job requires an audio recorder, with the recording to be uploaded as a .wav or mp3 file. I haven't worked with GameFilm before, but have read here that they are sloooowww in paying. However, I also haven't used a recorder, and need to know if you feel its price is justifiable. I don't know how to upload/download audio files, but feel I could muddle through. All comments are welcome.

I have not worked with this company but my understanding that payment is slow. I don't know if they are supplying an audio recorder. If not, the ones that can transfer files to your computer are not cheap. My good quality Sony picks up enough ambient sound that I got an external condensor microphone that picks up my voice well and the voice of the person I am talking with well as long as they are talking towards me. My files come in .MSV format but there are free converters on the web to make them .WAV or MP3 files. I have just never bothered.

As for uploading the file, I would not anticipate it to be any more difficult than uploading a .jpg or .pdf format file. Of course the size of the file will make a difference in how long it takes your computer to move the data. An 11 minute .MSV audio file is 1,300 KB or thereabouts.

Re: GameFilm / audio recorder
After doing the timeshare shop that they sent me a record to use, I am dying to get a DVR. I did not have to upload but if you have one with USB its a no-brainer. Just transfer the file, the computer sees the recorder as a hard drive. If not, you need card reader equipped to read the card in the recorder, or a blue tooth equipped computer and dvr.

I want a USB one but cannot afford one right now, or in the next couple of months, since santa has to visit....

Check your state laws first. It is NOT legal in all states to record without the persons written knowledge.
