Market Force bonus

I got one of those special offers to do a fast food shop this weekend for Market Force. And they were even going to pay me a 50 cent bonus!

But I told them I'm holding out for a 75 cent bonus. They said they'd get back to me.

Do you think I was being unreasonable? I'm thinking if I play this right, I might even get $1 bonus sometime.

Wait for SAMANTHA!!

Keep holding out.

Samantha is offering premium fee for a $9 shopper's fee, SAM is offering $10 to do the same job. So wait for SAM.
Hahaha.....I seriously LOL! Hold out for that 75 cents, for sure!

I love when they say "increased bonus" (how much?) 50 cents!....smiling smiley
On a serious note, Market Force was founded by former members of Bain Capital Group.

I would urge you to seriously consider if you want to enable their behavior by working as a shopper for the paltry fees they offer.

You can bet the Market Force management bonuses were NOT tiny.
Some of the bonused MF shops have been among my highest paying ever.

Well, maybe you aren't signed up with enough companies yet.

I have your area (Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, Permian Basin) and have received much higher bonuses than the $25-50 offered by MF in those areas.
Missy, I don't shop the cities you named. I shop from Arlington west to Abilene, north to Nocona, and south to Gatesville and Clifton. I don't want to reveal the highest MF bonus I've received, but it is higher than the bonuses you quoted. I do consider a $50 FF shop to be outstanding, so I'm really impressed when someone pays me more. I don't do a large amount of work for Market Force, but they have been a great company for me. I do some of their local work at regular fee and some of there "way out yonder" work at bonused amounts.

Market Force is a good company for entry level shoppers to sign up with and get their feet on the ground. I'm not recommending it as a huge money maker. I am saying the guidelines are clear and the reports are simple. They have some really nice bonuses from time to time and I appreciate the call when one comes up.

Signing up with more companies is usually a good suggestion. In my case, it's not what I'm doing right now. I'm currently under no pressure to get more work.

A lot of the pros and cons of working with Market Force were discussed as recently as yesterday on another thread in this section, entitled "Market Force Website". How many threads are we going to devote to this? Can we please all agree on just one little thing - that we all have to make our own decisions on what companies we work with based on our own unique situations?

Geesh, this was supposed to be a FUNNY thread. sad smiley

I'm the one who made it serious, so here are three jokes to atone:

A woman gets onto a bus with her baby.
The bus driver says, “That’s the ugliest baby that I’ve ever seen. Ugh!”
The woman goes to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her, “The driver just insulted me!”
The man says, “There’s no call for that. You go right up there and tell him off. Go ahead, I’ll hold your monkey for you.”

Two cannibals are munching on a clown. one looks at the other and says "Yo, does this thing taste funny to you?"

And, finally....

Control freak, now you say "Control freak who?"
Loved the chuckles, Missy. Thanks for giving me a much needed laugh tonight. smiling smiley

I have gotten some pretty good bonuses on out of the way gas stations in my area...unfortunately, they all rebranded to a brand handled by Maritz now. Got $75 from MF, Maritz is $10...yeah...no thanks.
If I don't get $8 bonus or more, I wouldn't do the shop especially if the distance is more than 15 miles oneway
I have a POP set up to do. When they called me to ask me to do it, they offered a $20 bonus. I told them that it was not worth my time as he claimed it would only take 45 mins. I told him that it usually takes at least 1 1/2 hours. He told me that for these I could always call them if I was running over their time listed and they will autherize(sp?) more time. He also offered it to me for a $30 bonus. I took it. Now I have to see if they honor it when they pay me. I am doing it on Sat. Will let you know results.
Make sure you have the bonus offer in writing.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
I got the 50-cent bonus call too - from my buddies in the 925 area code. I said Samantha was offering $3 bonuses, but he didn't budge.

Now the shops are $8 and was offererd a bonus of $3.50. So I said "$11.50?" And Mr. 925 said no, $11, the shop is $7.50. I told him it's $8 on the website. He insisted the shop was $7.50. I wasn't in the mood to haggle and ended the call. I wouldn't have taken the shop for $11 or $11.50 anyway, and if he was already arguing over 50 cents I knew asking for anything more would be fruitless.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
I don't even pick up the 925 calls and let it go straight to voicemail. It is a waste of time......
Damn, that's funny. smiling smiley

................And the e'd bonus offer is not written confirmation. They often require that shoppers accept the offer in a series of steps that boggles the mind. One step missed is a bonus lost.
The bonus should be reflected on the CPI.

I occassionally get emails from MF saying they are holding a "special" shop for me if I reply by a certain time. The bonus offered has never been more than $3.00. This makes the shop payment (total) around $10.00-$11.00. Sometimes the shops require an outlay of cash for reimbusement too. If I took the shop usually my cash outlay would be more than the payment. I stopped taking these shops.

Thanks for all this forum teaches me.

Email - from Samantha ... Premium fees reserved for 22 hours ... Shopper Opportunity Bonuses ... and Special Offers. These I delete as they're too little, too late.

They have randomly generated caller IDs. I've received calls from area codes 678, 925, 770, 256, 404, 330 and 518. Disturbingly, most are outsourced. However, when schedulers call, about 60% of the time, it can be worth answering, even if it doesn't start out that way.
The 925 area code seldom leaves a message for me. They just keep calling every 10 minutes. The irritation factor increases my minimum price. If they had left a message the first time, I might have called them back for $15 if I knew some basic info, but now that I have 9 missed calls I am less likely to help out.

Must be a Philippine special. They toss nickels around like manhole covers. When I have time to kill I keep them on the phone explaining to them that before I retired I earned $250 an hour . That is about a months pay in the Philippines.

I tell them if I wanted the shop I would have put it on my schedule. Only a novice would take such a shop because they do not know any better. They offer marketing shops that are capped for time and the only time they call is when the location was not serviced for a long period of time. You know the job can not be completed and they will reject the partial effort and not pay you. Then I ask them if I am correct. I ask how much they would be willing to pay and always reject it. I negotiated a better rate, and even then it was not worth the hassle.
I can't believe they have added additional shop requirements to one of the FF shops but are not increasing the shop fee!!
