Are these companies in business?

Hi everyone-

I've visited this site several times over the past weeks since I started doing shopping. Real helpful for knowing which companies are good and not. I've registered myself with about 70 companies, though some don't have work in my area, some contact the shopper only, etc.

There are several companies which I either haven't heard from, or they don't have any shops posted on their site (Sassie or whatever) or I can't tell if their site is current, etc. I've done a google search on them all, but many didn't bring anything up. So I'm wondering if any of you know if these companies are actually in business.

If you have info on the following, good or bad, let me know. Thanks!

Corporate Risk Solutions is up and running and a really good company to work with.
I work for Technology Store Shopper on occasion.
Don't know about the others.
Secret Shopping Services is currently in business, but not necessary an MSC that a shopper would want to get involved in due to long protracted hassles in getting paid.

Hi, travelinhobo, welcome to the forum. Our list of companies, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies, can be found by clicking the blue link at the bottom of the page. You can check the list to see if the companies are on it. Most of the names I recognize as companies that are in business. A couple I do not recognize.
ICU is definitely in business and they have some really great shops. Service Intelligence is now In Touch; it was a gradual move, but the last cllient was moved in December.

Thanks so far! I hadn't looked at the list of companies on the first link simply because I thought some or most of what I have wouldn't be listed there. I'll check it out, but info on any others is still appreciated. smiling smiley
Hi travelinhobo- performalogics is a great company to work for in Alberta at least. They do put their jobs on their jobboard.
They are not on the list at the bottom of this page.

Service Intelligence is merged with In Touch I believe. That's what a scheduler told me. Mystery shopper services is still running, Corporate Risk is still in business, I just did a shop for them last week. Power Consulting Group, I believe it is ATH Power Consulting Group and yes they are still in business. The others ones you mentioned, I'm not quite sure. Hope this helps.
Service Excellence is still in business. I've been registered for years, but have never done a shop.

Let's see you found a list of companies but did not think they would be in the list?????

Customer Feedback in Washington (Andrew Dortch, Laurie Dortch) seems to have quietly closed up shop the beginning of this year. Their website and email are shut down. Does anyone know what happened with them? I didn't work with them often (they had mostly parking shops in my area), but Laurie was a sweetheart.
If anyone has the opportunity to work for Corporate Risk Solutions, for the following reasons, gave the matter your strongest consideration.

1-The speed of payment ranged from 24 minutes to 27 days
2-Fees ran the gamut from $18 to $50, with a mean of $27.50
3-One job permitted me to keep, with a reimbursement, $112 in wood flooring; it was the $50 fee noted above.
Shoppers, Inc. is in business. Great schedulers, fast pay. They are based in Oklahoma and have a lot of shops in the Plains states.

That has got to be a record for fastest payment for a shop that wasn't reimbursed/paid in advance.

Thanks for the tip!

i just started. i need all the help that i can get please e-mail me if you can get me morer assignments. thank you very much limmie
limmie, we are mystery shoppers here, not mystery shopping companies. We don't hire anyone or get jobs for them. We get jobs for ourselves. If you sign up with the companies in our list, you will be able to check their job boards and you will be able to find jobs for yourself. None of us has any jobs we can e-mail to you.
Good advice, but it doesn't seem limmie ever actually reads any replies to his/her posts. (S)he just posts pretty much the same thing over & over & over & over & over in several different threads all over the board. With everyone giving pretty much the same reply to every post, for what seems like several dozen times by now, it seems this limmie simply never logs back on to read any answers. If they do, they're simply choosing to ignore the advice.

It's getting a little annoying. At least the other trolls provided some entertainment for us along the way!

Stay tuned for him/her to add a signature line trying to sell us blinds or something. It is the new game, rather than add the spam to each post individually, they create a bunch of inane posts and with one fell swoop the link is added to all of them.

What mystery company works with Carls Jr? LeVecke?
You have already been told that question is a violation of both our ICAs and the posting guidelines of the forum.

You also started a thread devoted to the subject so there was really no need to come on this one and change the subject line.

I worked with CRG several times over the past year. Nice people!

I don't know if Sales Quality Group is still in business but they should not be. I had done over 30 shops for them before integrity Consultants became involved. Then on the next 6 shops I was not paid. These were the $75 bank shops. They said the commentary in the shops was not unique enough for each shop. They did not send back to re edit. They just did not pay. I would not work for them again after that.

Crap on a cracker!

What is it with all of these dim-witted trolls lately?!

What happened to the ones who at least offered some cheap laughs?

He pulled the LeVecke name from the Company. LeVecke is the family name of Carl's grandchildren who now run Carl's Jr. Margaret LeVecke is typically the Carl's Jr. spokesperson.

Travelinhobo - Thanks for posting your list. I went through it and some of the companies were new to me and I have signed up for a couple hundred companies. Hope some of them will come up with jobs some time down the road.
