Maritz

Hi, can anyone tell me how they feel about Maritz. I appreciate the feedback. Also, they ask for specific pixels to be used. Is that standard. Thanks

Please see previous discussions about Maritz by using the search feature on the forum. Overall, this MSC is given good ratings for its ethics and timely accurate payment practices. They're not as up-to-date as others in using technology tools to run their operations, and instead rely much more heavily on phone interactions with their shoppers. Some shoppers find this cumbersome and tedious. Others like having more personal contact with a company by using the phone.

And yes, there are MSCs out there, including Maritz, that specify in pixel size how large a submitted graphic should be.

Donnad, be sure to put in "all dates" when searching for a company. That way you will get all discussions. Best to search and read first. There's been lots written on Maritz.
You can probably set your camera to take photos of the size they require. If not, you can resize them. There is free software available that will resize multiple photos at once which saves a lot of time.
I do a lot of work for them and have been very happy. They call a lot if they need something done. If I can accommodate them, I do. I have run entire routes of the same bank shop at eight branches. Dead easy shop, easy report, minor nuisance because of the photo uploads and having to write the job number on everything, but once you've done it a few times, piece of cake. Reliable pay. Friendly people on the phones -- not all are little old ladies either. I got called by a very personable man with a really nice voice yesterday.

He can call me anytime, LOL!

Don't forget to submit your invoice though or you'll have to call to get paid.

I think I talked to him yesterday, too, several times. They have a glitch in their system and keep sending my stuff to an address I haven't had for 6 months. Even when I called ot have my booklet resent and checked the address, they sent it to the old one.
Maritz pays reliably and the bank shops are easy, even though the scanning and sizing is tedious. I gave them my Google Voice phone number so the many phone calls from their schedulers don't annoy me any more.

No fee, no shop.
I just wanted to ask a question and say that I did some shops for Maritz a couple of years ago. I was very happy with the business and their service. They called yesterday to ask if I'd do some gas stations, and I said yes. So I emailed the cell phone photo they asked for, but don't know the web address of their site where I go to sign in. Can someone please tell me?
Thank you,
Rosanne

I may be not understanding your question, and, if so, I apologize. I went to Google and put in "Maritz" and got the following link: [www.maritzmysteryshopping.com]

A Google internet search will usually yield a web address for almost any website.
I cried the first time I did the Maritz bank shops.....then it clicked and I got the hang of it....I did 20 for them last month.

You rock, that address took me to just where I wanted to go. You can tell that I'm a sometime shopper......
Cried? they're the easiest shops I've ever done. The worst thing I can say about them is they do get a bit boring after doing eight in a day. I've got four on my list for Tuesday.

I ended up opening accounts at that bank based on all the stuff I learned doing the shops.

Donna,

I've completed several hundred assignments for Maritz spanning four yrs. and have never had the slightest speck of a problem; they always pay as, and when, agreed. In addition, the schedulers are a toll free call away and the reports are very easy to complete. This MSC conducts business in a manner that is congruent with my approach to commerce.
Has any one else had there february banks shops cut back.Maritz has cut back my shops in february from 30 banks to ten.Just wondering if this is happening all over

> Please do not use the term "little old ladies" That is ageist and rude. Older people are very capable of doing a great job of mystery shopping, editing and scheduling. If you are lucky, you will one day be an older lady. Please think before you postt

Nope, I got 12 scheduled so far and getting emails for me to pick up more.

Could it be because of rotation?

I've been shopping for Maritz for 18 years now and find them to be good people.

I've been with Maritz for a few years now. I like working with them, and have had no problems. I'm able to assign myself as many shops per month as I want. I think they limit you to 60 per month. I usually do about 23 - 28 per month. I haven't had them cut back any of my shops, in fact, they call me asking to do othesr for them when they need to have them done. They are very prompt with their pay schedule. I've had no problems at all. The bank shops can get a little boring when you have 7 or more of them in one day, but when that paycheck rolls around, I don't mind at all! Any time I've had to call them for any reason, they're really good about finding out an answer for me promptly. The only thing I wish they would do is add a variety of banks to shop.
I wish they had the bank shops in my area. They only have to the 2 gas shops here, since they lost the fast food. I have worked for them 5 years and they have always been good to me. Pay is like clockwork every 2 weeks.
The only assignments I've seen for Maritz in my area are for the blue banks and for the nonreveal gas station visits.

Has anybody ever had a shop listed as On Hold but when you click on it the message is "Held for Internal Review?" I have an audit right now that says this. Does it mean they think I did something wrong?

No, I don't think it means a thing. I think they pull an occasional shop for quality control purposes. I've done hundreds of audits for them and have received that same message, maybe two times, and nothing bad came of it.

Thanks cpburt.

Why is it I feel like I'm in trouble when I see that message. You know that feeling you get when a cop is behind you. I know I did a good job on the audit. It was a "call first" location, so I took extra time talking to the manager.
I've had that happen and was told it was because of a variation of sorts. If there's something in the report that doesn't jive, they have to send it to a supervisor. For instance, I noted in my report that their report would not accept that I had a forecourt attendant even though I'm in NJ and have to use a forecourt attendant. It was fine, but took awhile to be checked out.

I hope that the bundling of gas station shops does not completely cut out those that did not get a first bundle. I can see this as a great advantage to Meritz, but it is not good for many shoppers. I missed getting a bundle by a few minutes. I looked at one bundle and did not take it immediately. About 15 minutes later, I went back and it was gone. I am kicking myself for this hesitation. I have used the routes I can set up with Meritz shops as a core and fill with shops from other companies.

They are very reliable and easy to work with.

Regarding the C bank shops. I ws doing about 80 per month between the ODP and Combo shops. Have been doing this for the last 3 years or so. Since they started with that bank. Last month, I got a call out of the blue that informed me I had been identified as a Mystery Shopper by one of the branches. They pulled my outstanding shops and now I can not do the Bank Shops. The only thing I can think of is that I did so many that someone became suspicious.

Has anyone else had this situation? Can anything be done about it? I would love to get back into the bank shops.
Wow, that is a lot of shops. I bet you had them down to a science. I wait longer to do them, then the rotation allows. I think I would be identified if I did not wait.

How many different branches did you do? Maybe they will reinstate them after a certain amount of time has passed.
