I emailed BestMark and offered to do a car dealership out of town...I was going anyway....for $20.00. They replied there was no incentive on the shop. They listed the shop for $14.00 on thier site and Shadow Shopper has it listed for $17.00. Duh..It has been on the board forever.

Has anyone had a problem with BestMark not accepting an oil change shop even though my brand of vehicle is in the "family" of the maufacturer and was listed in my family vehicles on BestMark site, and was one of the drop down choices within the report?

Reason I'm asking, I've been going back and forth with Bestmark over this issue, since early Jan, I have all conversations and offers from their schedulers, have clearly and logically spelled out the situation and have talked with a few of the schedulers who understand my stand and agree with me.

How many miles are on the vehicle?

What reason are they giving you for not accepting it?

In my area they have been offering new car sales shops for $20. I told them I would not do that type of shop for less then $30. He told me that giving bonus on shops was not normal for them but if I would give him 3 shops I would do and since they had way too many in my area he would give me $30 for each of the 3. I sent him the 3 the next day and he said no bonus. I am sure you know what I did. Yep I did not even waste my time by responding.
Yes they still have a huge backlog o0f shops in this area.

If you don't value yourself it is for sure they won't either.

If it wasn't for Reality, BestMark would be the worst paying MSP I know. Yes I know about CORI but at least they raise the price until it meets my value criteria.
I used to work for a company and was paid $25 per shop in the city and more if I travel. They went down to $20 around the same time the other companies went down in fees. I refused to do them for awhile and then I got a message inquiring why I was not taking any more. I told him I would be happy to do them but only for $25. I now get all their shops within 70 miles the shops do not even go on their board unless I am on holidays and sometimes not even then. In some cases he has waited for me to return. Out of town traveling is $25 shop fee plus 55 cents per mile out and return.

DO GOOD work and your work will be valued.

Don't take $7 reimbursement and $4 shops to do a sweets shop. If you want one pay the $7 and go home and forget the report. If no one takes them eventually have to pay a fair price.

In Ontario Canada, BestMark new car shops go for $15. I pass, even though the auto mall is within five minutes of my home.

Bestmark was my first MSP, and I enjoyed working with them. Even once I realized that their payments were on the low side compared to other MSPs, I enjoyed the clockwork payments every two weeks and the relationship(s) I'd built with the schedulers. Lately, there is literally nothing on their job boards that interests me - either because of rotation, or offered compensation.

This is business, and yet this makes me feel a bit sad.

Bestmark can bite ass. I used like them for a few reasons... but renumneration, vauled working relationship, communication, and business practices def. are not on that list.

I did an autodealership shop from them. The survey took hours. It was like 100 questions and the pay not high enough to warrantit.Minimum wage was not reached. One has to figure what you make per hour. I did like that they have customer service and help us by answering their phones.
