They are pretty reasonable, responsive and flexible!

They are great people and as a bonus they give you feedback on mystery shop solutions. They are the only company that I work for that does that. I have gotten many emails from companies I am not signed with asking me to sign up with them for specific local jobs after seeing my positive feedback from Amusement Advantage on the website.
My only complaint with them, and the reason I haven't done any shops for them yet, is the relatively low net pay. By the time all the required purchases are made, you walk away with $10-15 for a minimum of 3 hours at a zoo or aquarium...and that's before adding the time to do the reports.

I just haven't found any of their shops where the time investment works for me.

I was offered a zoo job, but like James Bond said, it seemed like an awful lot of work. They told me I would be spending around 6 hours at the zoo and another 3-4 for the report, and I would be visiting 10+ concessions. Sounds like a nightmare to me.
As with hotel shops where there is no pay but only reimbursement and no club points, I think the reason to do these shops is because you enjoy the venue and want to go anyway. You end up spending most of the day so it is not at all worth it in terms of earnings. I have however come home with $30-40 by being prudent with my spending. Some of the venues give you 5 or so free tickets which can be worth a lot if it is a place you want to take your family and it is a place that does not discount tickets. At some places the tickets alone are worth around $200 and you can use them when you go later with a family. It all depends on your frame of mind...trying to make money..so not worth it, wanting to enjoy an expensive place with no out of pocket with a friend or family member and have an adventure, then yes I think it is worth it now and then. I went to the one which is simulated sky diving as a Christmas gift for my son...he had a blast. I did not participate myself but grinned at my son the whole time and saw how much he enjoyed it. It would have cost me $100 or so. The report was not too difficult at all. He ended up going back to college and convincing his friends to do real sky diving...that was where it got expensive.
I look at it as a "free" family day. I don't expect to walk away with a profit from the day, but I don't mind doing the report in exchange for the adventure. We did one for a museum last year where my son saw dinosaur skeletons for the first time--seeing him experience that made it worth it to me, though obviously others will not feel the that kind of job is worth it to them.

And as others have said, the people at Amusement Advantage are great to work with.

They do not pay well, but you are being paid, as Shopping In CA stated, for the experience or event that you attend. The reports can be long, and they require a lot of detail and often times photos. However, this company pays promptly, on time and are available 24/7 if you have any issues or
questions. I had an issue with a job I did for them and they could have easily blamed the error on me, but the scheduler owned up to the issue, paid me and even apologized for the error on their part. Their jobs go very quickly, which I believe speaks for itself.
Different strokes for different folks. They are a good MSC but I'll never do an assignment for them again. My primary reason for mystery shopping is to have a supplemental income that I can use to do special things with my family (nice vacations, etc.). Even though my kids could come, there were so many things I had to do for the assignment that it felt like anything but a family day. I'd far rather do a handful of easy shops and use that money to spend a day with my family without the super-long checklist of interactions these assignments require. But again... that's me. I can see where they might be great for others.
I usually pick up their simple shops like carousel rides at the local mall as a filler in a mall route.
love this company....great to work with....you don't walk away with money in your pocket but you get tickets to great locations or experiences at great locations --on them!
