Why the different fees for same client on CORI?

In general, every MS company I have worked for that have had multiple locations pay the same fee. I am new to CORI, but have signed up for 2 bank shops for the same client. One pays $19.68 and one pays $13. WTH?? They are within just a few miles of each other, so distance wouldn't be an issue. Why the weird amounts, and why would the exact same shop with the same requirements have such a wide variance?

CoRI has a matrix that they use to compute fees. Part of that formula is dependent upon what amount a certain location was accepted at previously. If it is harder to fill one location over another, that will be shown by a difference in fees.

Just one more reason to NOT grab up assignments at low rates, because it affects future rates.

Further, CoRI will have the same assignment at the same location at different rates so I always check if there is multiple assignments listed.
Cori understands their fee schedule. It is what it is, so get used to it and take advantage of the best paying shops. You'll learn to love how high some of them can go.

If you watch Cori closely, you'll get a feel for when shops are about to go up in price, by how much they'll increase, and what price they "go for" given the specific location or general area. Don't ever, ever, ever take one at the starting price which is available for future months. They usually go up for the first time on the 1st or 2nd of the month. The first increase is to a price determined by a percentage of what the shop finally got taken for during the previous month. After that the frequency of increase is client specific, and the percentage/dollar amount of the increase is location specific.
Your $13 shop must have gone for a lower price last month than your $19.68 shop did. It may have to do with the poor conditions of the more expensive shop so that those who know the location don't want to do it, or because that location is more remote and it takes more $$$ to lure someone to its location, or because someone flaked on the more expensive shop last month, so when it finally went back on the board last month it did so at a higher price later in the month, or because a desperate or impatient shopper or a newcomer who didn't know the system unwittingly sold themselves short on the $13 shop last month, getting paid less themselves last month and driving the price down for when you wanted to take it this month.
Very Complex stuff guys........ just go out and expect to get the minimum! Usually it only goes up a few bucks in my city before someone snags it at like 9 bucks or even less SMH... Who are you???
Who are they? Experienced shoppers who live in areas where the fees go up because other shoppers in their area are too savvy to take the low paying shops and/or there just aren't enough shoppers for the number of shops available in the area!

Ummmm...Actually i was here first, and have taken assignments for almost three times that sometimes, they are most def not experienced, work smart not hard.

Just wait a few weeks and we all can get paid more.
P.S:
.....and i do take them low if i have to, i just have to do twice as much to get paid descent.
Didn't you just answer your own question about who is taking the jobs low?

Thanks for all the input! I'm learning more every day on the best and most efficient ways to get the best paying shops!
Another tip I've learned ... if you see shop that is taken before the fee gets to the amount you want, put yourself as a backup auditor. I've had three different occasions where the shopper(s) either flaked or had a rejected shop, where I got an email saying that I could take the shop for $X. Twice, the fee was higher than was originally offered when taken.
Sethd85,

Same thing happened to me! The normal fee for a fine jewelry store (my fave!) was about $15, bonused to $35. I couldn't return the phone call soon enough, and it was assigned to someone else. Two days later, the original requestor couldn't do it at the last minute. I took the call this time and was offered $50! The same store had two different brands to shop, so the scheduler said I could do both at the same time and made a total of $60. To reward the 2nd shopper I was required to have, I took him to lunch on another shop fully reimbursed. When it works like this, it's a beautiful thing.
Lisa, that's always the best. Especially when you get to thank the second person who is coming with you by "rewarding" him with a great lunch that another MSC is paying for. =)
