Which MSC's use outside scheduling companies?

Just curious, which MSC's use outside scheduling companies, and is there some quick way to find this out on my own? I have run across a few companies that use KSS and one that uses Summit - just wondering if there is a way I can find out who outsources scheduling? It seems to me that there is a greater potential for communication mishaps if companies outsource scheduling? What do you think?

I'm inclined to agree with you, but I take the shops wherever they lay. Mostly the problem I have is not getting assigned the shop at all because the scheduling company's board isn't up-to-the-minute and I may apply for shops that no longer are available and they never tell you.

I've done shops through KSS without any issues, though, once the shop was assigned. Haven't done anything for Summit yet so I can't answer about them.

I personally don't think it matters. Just take the jobs that interest you or else you will end up limiting your options.
I don't know of a quick way. The only ways I know are signing up with an MSC (and finding out for myself on a case-by-case basis) or reading about an MSC and its use of outside schedulers (good or bad) on forums.

Yes, having an outside scheduler involved could create issues. However, outside schedulers could also improve communication. For example, some companies and company owners have very poor communication or interpersonal skills.

MSCs also use outside schedulers differently. Some companies rely on independent schedulers almost exclusively; some use independent schedulers only for certain states/cities/etc.; some only turn to independent schedulers when all other avenues have been exhausted.

Actually lots of MSCs do and sometimes you don't even realize it as you work with them.

There are many who use outside schedulers. As said above some also use them just on occasion for last minute projects, tough to fill areas, and special needs/demographics.

I honestly don't think an outside scheduler hurts the process at all.

I don't like this practice...mostly bec they try to offer very low ball offers (lower then the orig MSC)...not ALWAYS, but I've seen it happen quite a few times....
