Hotel Shops for one A Closer Look Client Just Got Much Less Desirable for Me.

"Hello [Client] Hotels Shoppers,

Please note the following change for your Hotels Overnight Stay events.

Beginning July 1, 2013, [Client] Hotel Overnight Stay shops will no longer be reimbursed by check from A Closer Look. Your charges will be reversed to your credit cards within 10 days of approval of your mystery shopping report.

Also note this will apply to [Client] Hotels Overnight Stay shops ONLY. If you are scheduled for a [Client] Hotels Bar shop you will pay cash as instructed and you will be reimbursed by check from A Closer Look per the normal reimbursement schedule."

Bye bye, credit card rewards. sad smiley

I realize this is a welcome change for some shoppers, but this will affect me negatively and make the shops less desirable. Oh well.

Wow! Somehow I missed the memo! Have written to them to find out which hotel client, as that entirely removes my incentiove to do a "no fee" hotel shop.

It's their high end hotel management company with hotels in multiple states and different brands. I'm in about the same boat as you. This does not entirely removes my desire to do these shops, but it's close.

You would still get points though for the hotel stay. right? In many cases that still works for me.

Sometimes with the reversal they back the reward points out as well....

Depends on the client.
I do a bunch of hotel shops for them and did not get this email. Maybe I never did this specific client?

Fortunately all of the ones I have done in the past have allowed me to keep the points.

I asked and was told that I did nosy get the email because I had never worked for that client. Indeed, I had never heard of the client.
