Anyone have experience with Northwest Loss Prevention Consultants (NWLPC) ?

Just tried to do a shop for this company (the first one.) There was confusion on THEIR part about the specifics of the shop, which they admitted. They then proceed to go back and forth with me on emails, telling me I should have called them from the location. It was a last minute shop I grabbed on my way out the door and I didn't have their phone number with me when I was out or internet access. Point being, I am amazed that a scheduler or owner would go back and forth like that with me over something THEY mixed up. Absolutely unprofessional. This is my first dealing with Northwest Loss Prevention Consultants (NWLPC) and very likely my last. Anybody have any recent experience with them?

I've done recent assignments for NWLPC and I've enjoyed working with them. My biggest complaint about them is that they don't have many clients in my area. Doug Rector is the President and owner. He reads and posts here quite a bit so you could PM him if you want to discuss your situation. There have been several discussions about them here. If you use the search function and put in "all dates" you should find several threads.
I'm pretty sure that's who was emailing me. Just never had a MSC be so petty and apparently having to get "the last word", especially when it was their mistake. Any other company I've dealt with would have simply stated "We are sorry for the mistake/inconvenience. This shop is being removed from your shop log." I DID have gas and time involved in looking for the shop. Anyway, it's a done deal but I was very surprised by the emails.
Sometime back, I was getting ready to do a shop for NWLP. Before heading out the door, I checked their site to do a last-minute review of guidelines, but the site was under maintenance and I couldn't get in.

Maybe I should have taken their phone number, just in case I had a question, but I didn't. Truthfully, having a phone number for most MSPs, and expecting a real person to answer the phone, and provide real-time assistance, is kind of unlikely. That being said, I have had nothing but good experience with NWLP. They're a reputable MSP. Maybe too late to save your shop, but hopefully, you tried every remedy to save it. In my experience, NWLP wouldn't remove shops without exhausting all avenues.
We have an after hours number shoppers can call. If it goes into voice mail we try to respond within 10-15 minutes. We also answer the phone during normal business hours.

That being said, if a shopper is getting ready to leave to do the shop but there is something unclear in the instructions, don't send us an email. With as many emails we get in a day, sometimes it takes awhile to get to a specific email.

To avoid confusion please read the instructions a day or two before the shop, then if you have a question or need clarification send us an email. If you don't receive a response then call us.

If you take a shop on the day a shop is to be done then call.

We realize that sometimes situations come up, or instructions may need to be clarified.

We do appreciate shoppers who point out our errors and in the case of the poster we did make an error that has since been corrected.

Hope everyone's summer is going well!

That's EXACTLY the way I was treated. It was like dealing with a 4 year-old...and he's the president of the company! LOL
Sad.
I've had nothing but positive and constructive feedback from Doug. I don't want or expect NWLPC to hold my hand.
I have done many shops for Doug and NWLPC since moving to the area a couple of months ago, as well as some other assorted shops, and have had nothing but extremely positive experiences. He is a real pleasure to work with in my opinion.
It's good to hear that most have had good experiences as I just picked up a shop of theirs this morning, and I've only done one other with them.
I have done in the past. Doug was great and helpful. No problems w reports, pay, etc. I just haven't seen many Denver area recently (haven't looked too carefully). I would do some if they are available to me.
