BARE didn't pay my fee!!

I had a test center visit for BARE in July. I waited for the payment on the 20th of August. They didn't pay. I wrote in comment box, that when they would pay my fee. They said they will pay at the end of the August. Today is the 7th day of the September, but anything didn't seem on my paypal account!! I begun not to rely on this compay.

Does Bare pay through PayPal? I always thought they paid only with a paper check or electronic payment to your bank. I get direct deposit from them and have never had difficulty getting paid. Have you done other shops for them and been paid on time? If this is your first shop for them, have you checked your payment information to be sure you have the correct payment information?
I also did a shop for them in July that I haven't been paid for. I have emailed the scheduler and support and so far have heard nothing back.
I have always been paid by check, and I'd receive an email when check was being mailed.
DD is faster than check. They usually email a detailed list of shops that was being paid, before I get the DD.

Its been a few months since I shopped for them
All were by check and a notification email was sent about 2-3 weeks before the check would arrive
This company is easy to work with and they have always paid. The bad things about them are they dont pay much and they dont have many clients.
I'm from outside of USA and Canada. So they would pay via paypal. There isn't anything wrong with me. My scheduler even didn't respond to my second question about this subject. My thoughts about this company have changed a lot. I thought that they're serious, and they work systematically.

jpgilham, do you have payments via paypal, too?
Bare pays by check or direct deposit into your bank account. I've never had a payment issue with their U.S. company. Obviously, keep following up, but I wouldn't concerned about receiving payment, even if it's late.
If it is past due from August I would be concerned.
What assurance does the shopper have it will be paid?

I get paid DD with Bare. I used to get paid by check before switching to DD. I have been shopping with them since 2002 never had any issues with them personally (yet). I have worked for other companies who seemed reliable for a number of years and then started to get flaky, but I would be very surprised if this were the case with Bare. I hope you get it all ironed out. Be persistent. Did you go to their regular website (not the Apollo site) and see if you can find other contact information than your scheduler? Maybe their is a contact email or phone number for their payroll or accounting department?

I got paid by paper check for my first shop with them, as I was hesitant to set up direct deposit until I had some experience with them. The check arrived within their stated guidelines, I set up DD, and my second payment arrived exactly on time. They were very prompt about replying to my inquiry about the first payment by check, as I wasn't sure when to expect it.

I've only done those two shops for them, but it looks as if they've recently upped their reimbursement for some shops, so I may sign up for more.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I completed a test center shop for them on 7/12 and the payment was in my checking account via DD on 8/15.

Bare International pays in the way they feel like paying individual shoppers that month. Just because you are signed up for direct deposit ... does not mean you will be paid by direct deposit. If they want to send a check, they will. If they want to do a direct deposit, they will.

They will pay, but when and how they feel like it.
I did a test shop to be a surgeon for this company 2 weeks ago and I never got paid either. The test was so easy I got a 100% on it. Bare said they would not pay me because I passed the test. I was contacted by the hospital after I passed the test and I have done 2 back operations and removed a ladies gall bladder and made 8000 dollars just in the past week. Ive got to do a hip replacement for a guy tomorrow. Ill be here all night folks!
I'm guessing drugs are involved, but I'm not sure.

I've never had a problem getting paid by BARE. I'm paid by DD and have conducted numerous shops without any issues at all.
I've always received an email a few days before the DD was completed. My DD's hit my bank around the 13th-15th of each month.
Bare....grrrrrr.....they were unresponsive with my non-payment issue.

Its a shame you are going through this. How long has it been since you completed the assignment?

Freelance obviously has a Dr with a looser prescription pad than mine. :/

It's actually kind of funny. The shop FLR is riffing on involves taking a test, and you must fail the test or you fail the shop. For this and for other shops where you *don't* have to fail the test, the shopper is told straight up that passing the test will not provide you with whatever certification you were testing on. Otherwise a shopper taking a surgeon's certification test could theoretically result in a monkey typing Shakespeare, and voila - FLR gets the biggest bonus ever paid on a failed shop.
But then, alas, great sadness would ensue as MSF would lose his witty ramblings to the AMA Forum.

It was pretty funny. Also I did that shop this morning.

Luckily the rule about failing had not been added when I managed to pass one of the certifications. It was something about food handling safety and my jaw probably hit the floor when they handed me the certificate. The scheduler actually seemed to get a kick out of it.

I did the graduate school test this morning. I wish I had actually paid attention because having never seen anything about it before today I managed to do better than 35% of the people who take it on the analytical part, and that's just answering the questions that I found quick and easy, I just guessed on the ones I had to think about.

Some of the shops have scenarios where you don't have to fail (still don't get to keep your certification.)
