Does Market Force...

1) Only pay by direct deposit? For some reason, I thought PayPal was an option but I'm not sure.

2) Give you a score and/or feedback? If so, where do you find it?

In case you can't tell, I just completed and submitted my first MF shop. After 2 years of MS'ing, I finally broke down and accepted a casual dining less than 6 miles from my house.

The only way you can get paid by PayPal for Market Force is if you have a PayPal debit card.
With the debit card, you have a routing number and an account number just like a regular bank account.
You can use this information for your direct deposit information for Market Force.

What's wrong with Market Force? I shop for them weekly and have never had a problem. They are predictable, always pay on schedule, and I can cherry pick shops with fees worth my time.
They are another one of those companies that can either be worthwhile or not depending on where you live. There fees are rarely appealing for me. Like most, they were my first company. Ironically, after branching out and all but dropping them my income went up and the number of hours I worked went down. That still doesn't change the fact they are an excellent company for a newbie.

The issue of long standing shoppers being deactivated just because they are long standing shoppers has also rubbed a few people the wrong way. MF apparently doesn't like professional shoppers and prefers a constant influx of new people. For many of their retail jobs that makes perfect sense. Personally I don't agree with that strategy when it comes to announced audits and believe the professional shopper would be a better candidate for those.

I have been working with MF for 2 years now. They were actually my first company. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I hate them. Today is DEFINITELY a love them kind of day. I had a shop that was bonused, and really far away last night. I can't for the life of me find the receipt!! That has never happened to me before! I submitted and explained. Then spent the night fretting about a lost relationship because I couldn't re do it until the weekend now (even if they let me).

I got an email this morning saying that since my record with them is great, this would not effect me!!! I am so happy right now!!

I work with MFI, and I like them. They pay on time, earlier in the month than most, are flexible if I have to reschedule, and as I've done more shops my pay has gotten better. I'm very happy with them

About using a PP debit card, where do you find the routing number? I thought you have to have a check to get the routing number.

Anna
The routing number is a bank identifier. The PP debit card would have to be issued by a bank maybe?

I am a fan of MF. They've been great and I've never had a problem so far. They pay on time and bonus quite a few shops I've done.

So..I have nothing bad to say about them. Only good things. smiling smiley
Has anyone heard MK is about to get another MSC's popular southeastern USA grocery shop account?
The forerunner of Market Force blue portal, the renowned Shop 'N Chek, was my first company. And yes, it's either check or direct deposit.

Checks aren't so bad if you can get a shop in the area where your bank branch is located to go and deposit it. I still prefer direct deposit with PayPal being a somewhat distant second choice. Payment by check is my third choice, and these silly payment cards come in dead last to the point that I'd often rather work for someone else than have to fiddle with them.

For finding the routing number on the PayPal debit card, just go to the online inquiry of your account. Go to direct deposit and it lists the routing number and account number there. I just enter those numbers in the direct deposit info for Market Force. It puts my money on my card like clockwork every month. I can then use that card to pay for expenses on future shops (except of course that require cash only to pay). The next month when those shops pay they just replenish the card plus the fees I get so I watch it grow!

Why aren't you doing teller shops to deposit those checks?!?!?! winking smiley

Agree about those silly payment cards but I prefer paypal to direct deposit. My paypal debit card gives me 1% cash back and the only thing I can't put on it is my mortgage payment.

I have done shops for Market Force for almost 5 years. I have had good experiences with them. I have worked for other companies however I do most of my shops for Market Force now. I do anywhere from 25 to 60 shops a month with them. I use direct deposit. My check is always there between the 9th and 14th of every month. The check is there when they say it will be there. They do require you to be accurate with your reports but that's just part of the job.

First, I don't know who shops my bank, and second, honestly I prefer the convenience of being able to deposit at the ATM. Also, my bank has a limit of 4 times in a month I can visit a teller, though with ATM deposits I usually have to go see a teller less than 4 times in a year. The one time I've visited a teller with my current bank was because I got a check with the back marked up for the Canadian style of endorsement and I wanted to make sure it was handled correctly.

Paypal is just an extra step for me. I don't use their debit card and I prefer to funnel as much through one account as possible to simplify recordkeeping.
The rating system is so dark and secretive with MF, that they would have to kill you first, before giving you the real scoring procedure...smiling smiley
I have shopped for 5 years with market force. I get paid on time and they work with me to solve any problems. I also am able to cherry pick shops I want to do. I normally do about 40 a month. At this point in time I am only shopping for them. They have enough selection to keep me busy.
Usually I get a response within 24 hours. Sometimes slightly longer, but never more than two days. At least in my experience.

I no longer email the Help Desk from the MarketForce site. Once, I didn't get a reply to a payment dispute, and couldn't recall the date I sent it. I was unable to reference the date in my second email. Subsequently, I send email to their Help Desk from my email account.
I've only been doing this 2 months, and I really like Market Force as my intro to the MS world! So far, so good.

I don't think I realized they were "rating" me. Guess I should send an inquiry email about that.

Happy Shopping, Shoppers!
BadBadFreckledBoi - all MSPs rate shoppers. Some ratings are shared with the shopper, and other MSP ratings are only shared internally. Feedback can be helpful, when it is explanatory. When the feedback is "your report required little to no editing", and the rating is an 8 or 9, that's just ridiculously useless information. For the MSPs who don't share ratings, no news is good news!

I know this tip is too late to help you, but maybe it can help you in the future and others any time...

Whenever I have to use an on-site form to communicate with a MSC, I always print to PDF before I submit. I make sure I've enlarged the box where I typed my inquiry so that it all shows. I name the PDF file with the date and brief summary of the inquiry, i.e., '09-25-13, Payment Inquiry to MF'.

Same with using the 'contact' link on Sassie sites. So far I've never had an issue with not being responded to, but it has provided peace of mind while I wait for a response. smiling smiley

My notes say the 20th

Direct deposit payments are scheduled for 10/7 and checks are scheduled to be mailed 10/17.
I have DD on the 15th. It seems payments were usually in my account anywhere from the 10th to the 14th. They say that checks are not sent until after direct deposits are processed.
