Insights Interactions (Caliber) grocery shops

Does anyone have information about what is going on with the grocery shops? I was sent a message that the client requested that they use a completely new group of shoppers. Needless to say, I was shocked as I have been a very loyal shopper for this company, and have helped them out many times when they were "stuck." I'd love to hear feedback from other shoppers, thanks!

Yes, the message was from Insight Interactions. I did not have any upcoming shops scheduled. The message stated that the client had requested an entirely new base of shoppers with longer rotation requirements. I am in very good standing with this company, so I know that this was not an issue. I, of course, emailed requesting more information. I received a reply that through no fault of my own, the client wanted this change and they (Insights) have to comply. I was told that they will contact me in the beginning of 2014 if anything changes. I cannot believe that no other shoppers have received this message.
I haven't received that email either. Did you receive the email once you tried to schedule for a grocery store shop or later on in an separate email?

I received the message later on in a separate email.
Here is the original email that I received:

I wanted to reach out to you regarding your account with us here at Interactions Marketing, Insights. Earlier this week we had a meeting with our ^^^^^^^ client and they have asked that we make a few changes. They have asked that we increase our shopper rotation policy as well as generate an entirely new pool of shoppers for the remainder of 2013. You have a completed a number of shops for ^^^^^^^^^ program this year and have always done an outstanding job. However, due to these unfortunate circumstances, moving forward we cannot allow you to complete any more shops. With that said, we have been forced to deactivate your Interactions Marketing, Insights account. You have been an outstanding shopper and we would like to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. If in the start of 2014 we are able to reactivate your account, we will definitely reach out to you.

UGH, I haven't received this but haven't gotten any "open shop" notices either...so may explain it.
I also perform shops for various other clients that they have. When I inquired as to why I could not continue to perform these other shops, this is the reply that I received:

I just wanted to clarify a few things from my last email… Firstly, you have done nothing wrong. We would love to keep you as a shopper but unfortunately, our system does not permit us to block shoppers from certain accounts, it’s all or nothing type of deal. With that said, the only way to ensure that you do not receive assignments for GC is to deactivate your profile. Unfortunately, this rotation request has been asked by our client and we need to deliver upon it. You will be paid on Oct 15th for any unpaid assignments through paypal.
Oops, peachgirl, you need to edit your post, and remove the client's name.

I haven't shopped with Insight. It is not uncommon for MSPs to request fresh eyes, though rotation generally should take care of that. Do they only have one client? Just asking, because I find it odd that your account would have to be deactivated.

No, they have several clients and I have performed these other shops as well.
Our posts crossed, peachgirl.

I just realized that you were talking about Caliber. I have shopped with them, and haven't run into any issues. Regardless, I can understand your disappointment.

This is very bothersome. I can't help wondering if something, a minor incident, a mistake--anything-preceded this. Or did a friend a spouse or a relative recently sign up with them?

I mean, IF they truly can't block you from receiving these assignments, they could just request you don't accept any of them and advise you that if you do, the reports will be rejected and you won't get paid. This would allow you access to their other clients.

It's just so strange and I know you feel hurt as I would.

I am extremely hurt by this situation. To my knowledge, there were no incidents that preceded this and none of my relatives or friends have signed up with them. As a matter of fact, only a few people, including my husband, mom, and brother even know that I am a Mystery Shopper. I am so frustrated and just plain shocked! I also find it very strange that they had to deactivate my account.
Yeah, it simply does not make ANY sense, at all. If you could at least identify an "incident" that may have triggered this, it would be a lot less confusing and not feel so hurtful--at least it would be for me. I can only shake my head and hope and pray you are able to gradually let go of the powerless feeling this has given you and move on.

From reading previous posts on this forum, I've come to realize that yours is not a unique experience when dealing with MSCs. The only difference is that you received a "nice" email versus suddenly not being able to log on.

There are so many other great MSCs out there....

I'll be thinking about you and cheering you on! Good luck, my friend!

I know this is an old post, but there *is* a way to block certain shoppers from only certain clients in Sassie. I've seen it done before and it was visible to me (the shopper) as "Checking these boxes indicates this shopper should not be allowed to shop this client:". I forget which MSC did this, and know scant little about Sassie from the scheduler/editor/MSC side, but that line that they have to deactivate the shopper completely just isn't true.

They don't use Sassie.

Hmm when I was a scheduler we didn't have that option but I know Sassie is always trying to be more scheduler/shopper friendly.

Is this a different Caliber than the one I'm signed up with?
