I did a few restaurant shops for this company back in April and May because they said they would reimburse up to $10 plus pay a $10 fee if the report was in on time. I did a total of 3 of them and I have yet to get paid for any of them. I dealt with someone called Kim Weathersby. I emailed her over the weekend, asking when I could expect to get paid for these shops. As of tonight (June 30th), I have yet to receive a reply from her. Did I get burned? They still have shops available here in my area but I'm not going to do any more until this matter gets addressed. Anyone out there have any experience (good or bad) with this company?

This is only the second time I have heard of them. Someone asked about them at Volition back in March and nobody responded.

When I first signed up with them, I got an email saying I was approved as a shopper for 'Monterey Mystery Shopping'. I don't know if that makes any difference.

From Volition.com re Monterey Mystery Shopping:
"They use CTCSS for scheduling, and also Prophet for reporting. I completed a couple shops for them, and they pay on time as well. The scheduler was fantastic, the reports need detailed information, but everything was straightforward. I will be happy to shop wth them again." They are apparently a member of the MSPA, which adds some legitimacy.
[Note: CTCSS is Coast To Coast Scheduling Services. Generally when a company is a member of the MSPA, uses a Prophet, Sassie, ShopMetrics or ClientSmart website or uses a major scheduling company, you can feel fairly confident they are legitimate. Whether they are in sound financial condition to pay shoppers is a totally different issue. And also many legitimate companies are NOT members of the MSPA and/or do not use one of the above mentioned reporting websites and/or do not use scheduling companies, but as a general indicator, when you can find no other information about a company, one of those attributes can help sort the scam from the real.]
