Maritz approval time?

I've talked myself into working with this MSC on two clients recently moved from CRI. I applied 3 days ago and haven't heard a thing. Is this the norm? If so, it's gonna be hard for me to work with them because I like to get a rigid travel plan set up quicker than waiting this long to be approved for a shop. CRI had instant approval when I qualified. Any thoughts from Maritz shoppers?

I've been waiting over a month to get approved as a shopper period.. I've seem to have been lost in the system.. they said i havent provided the forms yet on the website, but when I go to it and check everything there is checked and waiting for their approval, but they dont see that on their side.
I believe it takes 5 or 6 successful shops before you can self assign. Then the process is immediate. I'd suggest you give them a call.
Thanks for the info. I'm a current shopper, so I guess a phone call is in order. dbcoop, good luck with your quest.
Actually, unless Maritz has changed their policy, I think it takes 10 successful shops before you are able to self-assign. All 10 do not have to be the same client.
Give them a call and find out 1 - 800 - 782 - 4299

Yes it has to be 10 successful shops to be able to self assign. You may or may not get them to assign them to you when you call. Before I was able to self assign they told me to call after applying for a job in order to get it assigned to me. That worked a couple of times, afterwards they said they would call me when they started scheduling them if no one had self assigned it.
Oh, I didn't realize they took two clients over. I knew about one of them. I'm waiting to see how high they'll bonus those before I even bother with them. I didn't like that shop when I could do it for like $25.00. I'm certainly not going to jump all over it for half of that.

I think the Maritz peeps might be a bit overwhelmed right now. I sent them an email about a shop when they put out the first email bonus. I never heard back. I sent them an email when they sent out the second email bonus. I never heard back. I called them and left a message about said shop, but I didn't hear back. I called them again and had to leave a message again because no one was available. I decided to just self assign it and hope that the bonus would get applied. If it didn't, I figured I could get them to fix it. As soon as I hit send, which was 10 min before I was heading to the shop, I got a phone call.

The other weird part was that on Wednesday, which was several days after the first email, I received a phone call while I was heading to get gas. The guy mentioned two locations for the same client that I had sent the email about, but he didn't include the location I had emailed them about. So he tells me he has two locations, and I ask which they are. He told me, and I said, "Oh, I'm about to drive by the second one so as long as I don't have to take a test, I can do that shop right now." He assigns the shop and ditches me. I didn't even have the time to ask him about the location I had emailed about or tell him I could do the other location he asked about in a few days. He assigned me the one location and then hasta la vista. How weird is that!
I do many Maritz shops and find that I self assign when bonus dollars are released. If bonus dollars are not included in when invoicing, I send an e-mail with notation that these requires incentive pay. I find that they always add the incentive dollars.
I saw you posted your email address on another thread. It may be safer to delete it there and just send dbcoop a private message. Anyone can read the forum and we have a lot of spam artists showing up on a regular basis.

Maritz has called me twice on a phone I rarely check. My fault. When I responded to the last call it was indeed I had not done the required paper work. Who knew. I was unaware the paper work was not complete. Once I called they led me through the process, and were ever so nice. Looking forward to working with them.
The 10 number for self assign is false. I was told by a rep that it averaged around 10 but it was not a hard number and based on several things. I was able to self assign after 6 or 7 shops. As for waiting for approval, my first request sat out there for several days and I ended up calling. The rep told me that until I could self assign that calling them was by far the best way to get shops.

I got to start self assigning after 6, but I think it was because they had a shop that never got done because I couldn't self assign. It was 80 miles from me, but I was going to be in that area. By the time they called me to assign it to me, I had already come and gone, and they didn't like my price for going back out there. The next time I went to request a job it let me assign it myself.

Silver Certified on the Carolina Coast. You want fries with that?
I, too, received self-assign privileges way before hitting ten shops for them. I believe their FAQ still says it's ten, but that number is definitely flexible.
Just saw this on another thread:

"Maritz is underwater with all the new accounts they got. The employees are on 30 hours only and 1500 reports behind in editing. The worker bees there have got to be so stressed out!"

If true, why would they take on such high shop business before supplying the needed staff?
Guess they won't have time to read any of these postings ! Sure wish CORI didn't loose those shops sad smiley
I had to speak to them myself Friday about shops I had requested just sitting there in limbo. The gentleman that I spoke to said that for now, reaching them by phone is the best way to go.

Floating around like a feather hoping the wind will set me down somewhere awesome.
I was told that THEY (on the phone) can't even see the Building supply shops....I'd say they need some help!
Holy !@#$ these people are !%$#@ing idiots.

So I have a dozen or so shops on my board. I wanted to take care of a few of them early and gave them a call, because we all know email doesn't work with these people. So the lady tells me to go ahead and do them early. I'm like that's fine but the debrief link isn't there yet because I'm not in the shopping window. So she keeps telling me to click the debriefing link even though I keep telling here it's not there and I can't. Then she tells me to just do the shops and call back if I have problems. I'm like, I'm going to have problems, the link isn't there. Then she tells me it won't be there until after I do the shop. Ummm. The computer has no way of knowing when I do the shops you !@#$% idiot! Finally I just tell her to take the dozen or so shops on my board off because I have no desire to work for a company that isn't going to help me help them. She tells me that's fine she'll clear them all off. Seriously? So I ask for a supervisor and I'm told the supervisor is busy. I told her she could put me on hold and I would wait. She comes back a few minutes later with another employee talking to her, who FINALLY tells me there's another link at the bottom of the page. I'm like wow, that's all I needed. Why was that such a problem?

I was actually going to ask about doing another 10 or so shops for them that are in the middle of nowhere if they could give me a good rate on them but I'm seriously just not feeling this company right now. It seems that every time I talk to them on the phone I come away feeling like that though.

So it goes with them. The supervisors are generally shielded from shoppers, with what seems like a personal guard who doesn't do anything more than read the instructions to you over the phone as an answer to your question. That guard, however, will keep running back and forth to the supervisor for a half hour in order to try to get your question answered, a question that could have been answered in a two minute conversation with the supervisor vs. this back and forth across the moat by messenger BS.
Also, their computer screens and reporting processes look and work differently than ours, and I've tried to explain that to them many times over when their instruction to me is to simply submit a second photo, or go back and add a comment, or whatever.
Stick with them, and find a couple schedulers that you like. There are a lot of good ones there. Then, just call and ask for that person by name, and direct your shop questions and scheduling to that one.

I think we talked to the same person bg. She couldn't understand why I couldn't make a 160 mile round trip in one direction and a 170 mile round trip in the opposite direction all in the same day, all for 3 shops.
With Maritz there should be a link that says something to the effect of "Enter Visit Results" with all of the other blue links.

Maybe this will help:
