retail track

I have sent in an application to retail track & never got anything back. I emailed them to ask about it & they said I need a phone interview first & they gave me a 1800 number to call.

I have never been asked to call a company for an interview before. Does anyone use retail track?

I have not worked with the company, but I have heard of phone interviews being required to complete the application process.
I completed a phone interview with this company. Their assignments are sent via email invitation only once you are accepted.

I've done a phone interview with one company and have one scheduled tomorrow for another. Not sure why but maybe they feel they will have better oriented shoppers by doing this.

I received a PM yesterday to call a scheduler about a specific fitness facility in my area and possible gym membership. I hadn't heard of the company before and was surprised by the message.

Has anyone else gotten this?

Oops, I have heard of them and signed up the other day. My memory fades after midnight.

I did their gym shop and was given a year membership. No problem with payment or communication. They called before the first shop and emails subsequent shops.

No. Corporate signed me up for a paid full year membership.

okay. cool. i was reading the termination contract and it kind of scared me away if i was going to have to pay out of pocket up front.
My story was that a relative paid for a full year's membership for me, when I go in the first time, to get my key tag. It was a premium full year membership for me to use personally and for any assigned shops.

Hi everyone!
Thanks for your interest in RetailTrack Mystery Shopping.

Plmccut - you have it right. The reason we do a short telephone interview with every one of our shoppers is so that they know more about us, how we work and what we expect. Also, we want to get to know our shoppers (a little!) before sending them out into the field and let them know what to expect from us.

We are running Fitness Club Mystery Shops at the moment in NC, SC, TN and GA and there will be opportunities to get a free membership as part of an ongoing project. If you are interested, please sign up online at www.retailtrack.com and call us at 1800-576-6860.

Hope to hear from you soon !
Helene / Dominique.

I am not with this company, but think it good business to have a phone interview, as they get a better sense of who you are.
I think it says a lot for this company, and now I'll go register.

Live consciously....
Can anyone please comment on the length and intensity of the phone interview with Retail Track? Is it a quick five minute "Hi, so how long have you been a shopper?" conversation or more in depth questions? Just wondering how long I need to set aside for this.

Thanks.

I was on the phone for 25-30 minutes.

This company operates out of my neighbourhood. I haven't done too many shops with them, but they are great to work with. As I recall, the phone interview was easy and enjoyable.

I have done a few shops for these guys in Canada. The reports are fairly straight forward and their pay is consistent.
This company is one of my staples in Canada. I have found the schedulers and editors a pleasure to work with.
