Anybody shop for them in the past? I did a phone shop on 1/21, their system says it was approved. I go to their site to see their pay schedule... and nothing loads, other than the front page. It's only $6, but it IS $6...

Looks like shoppers have been having problems getting paid since 2009. Some shoppers wrote that they are slow paying but that they eventually got paid. More recent posters have not been paid. In my personal experience, companies that start paying slower than their promised time sometimes go under and some of them eventually stiff the last few shoppers who complete evaulations for them before they go belly up. Not saying it's always the case, but it happened to me with Franchise Compliance to the tune of $218.33. They were a company who initially paid well and in a timely fashion. It might be a good idea to research companies before completing shops. I have always been paid slow by Mystique but I did get paid. Sometimes I would complain in email after email but it would eventually show. I've threatened to never shop again and to call the BBB. Usually my scheduler would respond after that. It was truly ridiculous.

I did one shop in Nov and one in Dec 2013. They paid me the Dec shop quick which was bizarre. So I went to my account to check on the Nov shop and they put it in as paid. I went to my paypal to make sure I wasn't imagining anything and sure enough, there was no payment there for the Nov shop. This was a $50 RibEye's shop. I emailed my scheduler, who normally responds after two emails, and have gotten nothing. I finally started calling and of course get no answer there.

I agree with the above poster, usually this is a sign the business is going bellyup. I have had a company do that to me before so I've seen what it looks like. I'm thinking I should be thankful I got the first $50 and that it is more than it could have been.
Clearlyirish, do you think that they pay some and don't pay others thinking that shoppers who stay really busy and don't keep good records won't notice that they didn't get paid? Why else would they mark some things as paid when they really didn't pay the shoppers? It smells fishy to me.
I have been trying to track someone at Mystique down for a while now. I had issues with VERY late payments in 2012, so I stopped shopping for them. (I did eventually get paid, but around 6-7 months late.) I don't know what I was thinking, but after a year off from Mystique I took 2 visits last October. (They were convenient to another visit I was doing for another company, so I took a chance.) Anyway, 5 months later I still have not been paid. One is listed on my shop log as having been paid last November, but I verified that I never received this payment. Their home page (www.mystiqueshopper.com) is no longer valid, and my email bounced back from the scheduler I used to deal with (John). "Fishy" indeed!
Anybody have a phone number for them? They're website has errors all over the place, but their Sassie is still active...

I called the phone number (888-750-7467) last week and left a couple of voicemail messages. Today, the number is disconnected. Does not look good for them (or for those of us who have not been paid!).
This company is a scam. I did a shop in January 2014 with a reimbursement of $50 for the shop. I have never received payment and their SASSIE account shows that I have not been paid. Their website WWW. MYSTIQUESHOPPER.COM is no longer functioning and the BBB of New York has an alert out on them due to mail being returned with no forwarding address for the address in the shopper agreement on SASSIE.

DO NOT SHOP FOR THIS COMPANY ANYWHERE!
I show shops paid from last year in May which have never hit my PayPal. No response to emails or phone calls, nada. I won't shop for them anymore. Was once a favorite MSC of mine.
Their last Twitter update was July 23, 2011... sounds like they just gave up. [twitter.com]

I'm just glad my shop was a phone shop, and I'm not out anything. Sorry for those of you who didn't 'get paid for honest work...
