Change in Marketforce reporting deadline?

Did a shop for MF today, and when I got on the computer I noticed it now says "results must be entered within 8 hours of completing the shop". Well, I got it in within 8 hours MY TIME, but they are two hours later than I am!

Is this my imagination wreaking havoc on what little is left of my mind, or did it actually used to be
12 hours?

Since I make long drives for my shops, even the 12 hours was sometimes unrealistic....

It *did* used to be 12 hours. And yes, if your shops for MF were part of a long day of shops, 12 hours was really pushing it, often. Eight is just ridiculous! I haven't done any shops for them for a while now, so I hadn't seen that change. (Partly because I'm temporarily car-less, and partly because when I was checking last, they rarely had shops that paid anything worth doing in my area!)

Check your paperwork, there is nothing in their messages or on my current upcoming shop? Are you sure it is MF? Or maybe it is a special request for "that" peculiar shop of yours. Call or email the help desk to be sure.

MF messages actually say, in the column------>"we have three days to send in a report after the shop has been completed. After that, the shop become invalid and will be re-assigned and you will not be paid." (I like reading there messages , sometimes. They appear helpful.) Don't wreak havoc on your self. Just do the report. Submit it and continue to shop.smiling smiley
I did an assignment today for MF and my paperwork indicated to enter results within 12 hours ( in the CPI section). Further down in the Guidelines section it indicated that results be reported no later than 8 hours after completing the shop. So with that in mind I knew I had to get the results in right away and I did........then I went to work. I come home 7 hours later and realized I forgot to upload my receipt and digitally sign my CPI which I scrambled to do and did although not submitted within 8 hours after the shop but it was submitted within 12 hours per the CPI invoice section of my paperwork. makes me wonder what is the binding deadline???
MF will take the shop without a receipt, just don't do it too often as they claim to keep track of that and also say they may use it as an excuse to deactivate you (not in those words of course).

I have yet to find whatever shop this is that is requiring an 8 hour turnaround. I hope this is not a new policy for all MF shops.
I checked what I had left to do and see the 12 hour deadline still. I'll make sure I read the instructions carefully for any new shops. :O
I picked up a shop a few days ago and the CPI still says 12 hours. It was also one of the screening questions.
Most of MF shops have so short of reports that they could easily be done on your phone in a parking lot, etc. I have a Samsung Mega phone that I use for this as it has an over 6 inch screen.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
People with a FT job who shop before going into their job will not be able to meet the 8-hour deadline...if that is a true statement. I still see 12-hour deadlines on my jobs. Or if you shop all day and have a fine dining at night, 8-hours will not work either. I usually go from one shop directly to another shop with no time in between for writing reports in the field (or eating!) I will jot down some quick notes before leaving one location for another.

Well, I don't have a cell-phone. I do have a laptop, but it only works where there's wi-fi.

The 8-hour deadline is on the CPI.

And I have been deactivated by MF more than once for my reports being late! But my scheduler always goes to bat for me and gets me back on.

I guess it pays to live in an area where they are desperate for shoppers, LOL!!!

Of course, if I lived in an area with lots of shoppers, my assignments wouldn't be 400 mile round trips!

PS - I just printed my CPI's for shops later this week and they also say 8 hours! It's confusing because at the top, it says "enter results on-line within 12 hours" but in the GUIDELINES section,
it says "no later than 8 hours". I just HATE contradictory instructions!

I have seen the 8 hour warning.

We have all seen the 12 hour window on the CPI. But, I suspect they "want" you to submit in 8 hours but the 12 hours, is the time they pull your shop if not submitted.
So far, I still see the 12 hr window. Mind you, I usually submit the report a few hours later because I'm in a position where I can do that. But, I'll still keep a sharp eye out. smiling smiley
Thanks for the heads up, y'all. I might have missed that.

I have not seen anything about an 8 hour window. On my CPI in the yellow box it says 12 hours.
I have an MFI shop coming up this Friday and the CPI states, "If you do not report your complete results within 12 hours of completing your shop, your shop will be cancelled in order to meet the client's deadline."

I would not accept a shop due in 8 hours as I usually have other shops that day.
All of mine have 12 hour windows too.

You know, now that several of you have mentioned it, I *do* remember seeing CPI's/Guidelines that state both 8 and 12 hours. Sometimes I've been able to get them in, in the 8 hours; but I never broke my back trying to. And I was always paid, never heard a reprimand, and {knock on wood!} have never been deactivated.

You don't get deactivated for lack of activity, do you?

Yes, the yellow part says 12 hours -- but the "guidelines" part says 8 hours!

I don't know but I always thought CPI gets priority. Whatever is in there goes ahead of other guidelines.
That's just the problem -- up in the yellow part of the CPI it says 12 hours, but down in the "guidelines" section of the CPI, it says 8 hours.

I have noticed that it is only one particular client of MF that gets the 8-hr note in the guidelines. I suppose there may be others, but not any other that I have done. It is a client where you usually have two parts to a shop.
wow, thanks for posting the new time, although I do my best to get the shops debriefed as soon as possible, sometimes with traveling an hour or so after the shop home, not to mention other shops that I may have to complete, this may be a problem. I did start taking the laptop along on the last few shops and inputing my data on free wi fi at a mall or FF place for the price of a sweet tea, but that is not always the case. thanks again for the heads up!
