Customer Impact Shop - Please Disregard

Thanks for everyone's help!!!

I'm just about to do a dine-in shop, where the guidelines state to order a max of 3 items. For example an appetizer, 2 entrees or 2 entrees and 1 dessert. I am assuming I can order beverages in addition to the 3 items. Am I assuming correctly?

TIA

Thanks so much gogogirl! If you have, that's good enough for me!

Those are the examples they gave? Are you dining alone? Most FF shops are entree, side, drink. Why two entrees?

If they say max 3 items and both examples they gave you had 2 entrees and no drink was mentioned I'm not sure I'd put a drink on the shop receipt. We must follow the instructions we are given.

Two people. One entree each plus an app or dessert.

I agree about the guidelines, but since there are questions on the report about how long the beverages took to arrive and if they were refilled if half empty, when the entrees were served, I assumed they expected beverages to be ordered. Hmmm...

I guess I don't know the shop. Still seems odd that they would say "max" of three items. Maybe order water to be safe?

LOL. If they ask about beverages, then I guess you can order beverages, or at least you have a good argument for why you did so.

Why don't you send that email to the scheduler? When you received information save the email and do as scheduler say. Most schedulers are very helpful but I myself never have done that shop.
Yes, order a beverage (coke, tea or whatever). This is a requirement.

Normally, I would, however they're closed on the weekend and, unfortunately, I just came up with the question as I was re-reading the guidelines, before leaving for the shop.

Anyway, I'm back and we ordered beverages, although we were only charged for one. Also, the only desserts they had were cookies and, since my companion said it was our first visit, we were given the one I ordered FREE of charge. Aargh! (I needed 2 entrees PLUS a dessert or appetizer.)

When my companion went to the restroom, I told the server I wanted to surprise her with a chocolate chip cookie and he tried to give me that one for FREE too--explaining there were two of us. I insisted I wouldn't feel right accepting a second free cookie and insisted he charge me for it, which he reluctantly did.

Oops! Irene, you and I double posted. Thanks for saying it's a requirement. It makes me feel immensely better!

I've found on the CI shops when they say 3 items they're talking about food items. They want to make sure both people order an entre instead of ordering an app for their meal, and additionally they want either an app or a dessert to be ordered. Drink requirements on the shops I've done have always been separate.

"Most" diners order a beverage, makes sense to me and since there is a part in the report asking about the type of beverage,
well, why wouldn't you? Sorry, feeling a bit frisky this morning, it's early and I'm sitting in McD's listening to classical music,
having a large (excellent) coffee playing on my computer.

They have a special that includes an appetizer to share and 2 entrees for a low price (limited items).
Once you order this one, you reached the limit of 3 items but of course you can also order 2 drinks as long as these are non-alcoholic.
After everyone's generous advice, I went and screwed this up all by myself. I am 100% certain this is going to be my first rejected shop, which I deserve. (Timings.) I've confessed and apologized to the scheduler.

Does Customer Impact no longer have the requirement to call their office M-F during business hours to go over the form and instructions if it is the first time a shopper is performing a shop for that dining client? I really liked that CI did that. The requirement to call the office to discuss before performing the shop for the first time with the client used to be at the top of the guidelines page. It really helped me understand what they were looking for.
I liked that too.

Uh, yes. I did it for my first shop, which was a to-go. They are on my favorite MSC list for this reason and because their people are the best. It makes me feel even worse for disappointing them. I'm a schmuck...and now a humble schmuck!

I just received my rating for this shop and it was a 10. Granted, I did write a fabulous report even after I realized I screwed up. When I realized there was a screw up #1 (not my fault, btw) and then a screw up #2 (my fault) I emailed my scheduler and laid it all clearly out. Since I love this company and do not want them to be embarrassed or discredited on my account, after I received the news of the 10, I sent the scheduler a slightly cryptic email, asking for assurance he had read my emails. Am I as nuts as my husband thinks I am?

Okay, I've changed my mind. Let me have it. (hands over eyes)

I recently did their new client and had to call and review instructions.

Has anyone done their Ground Control app audits? I have my second one scheduled for this weekend. I'm not really into quilted handbags, but I'll be in the mall for another shop and the audit only requires 5 quick photos.
My scheduler responded and confirmed he had received my two emails. He stated they were able to accept the shop and finalize it for the client. Even if the outcome had not been so favorable, I so love this company!

Now, off to buy a new watch battery...
