So I have this CC and they sent me an email.... thank you for being a good member, blah, blah, here is a $5 gift card for you to enjoy. Three options, I choose, fill out my information and at the confirmation page it states


This Program is administered on (CC company name) behalf by Maritz. Information provided to Maritz will only be used to send you the gift card and for no other purpose. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the gift card provider

I didn't know they were connected.... I just thought it funny....

Recently there have been commercials which mentioned market research based on data provided by GFK and Market Force. It only makes sense the larger firms are actually full service market research companies with mystery shopping actually being a relatively small part of their business model.

I was harassed briefly by a phone survey (can't remember what I did or bought to trigger it) from a division of Maritz research. I say harassed because they kept calling but wouldn't leave a message when it went to voicemail and when I googled the caller ID number I found a complaint page about calls from Maritz. I never did do the survey. Kind of thought it might be some kind of conflict of interest, and I don't do surveys for free anymore.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
