Blaze Pizza Shops- Are you KIDDING?!?!?!?

The company who handles these shops has changed the requirements and the reimbursement. My husband likes their pizza and I am not a fan of pizza (I know, LOL), so I have been doing them every couple of months and taking him with me. The shops are VERY picky and want numerous details, including time to the minute and second along with numerous other details. The reimbursement USED to be enough to get a salad (which is what I usually eat), a pizza, and 2 drinks. It now has been lowered to $18...meaning that if you order enough to feed more than one person, you are going to be paying out of pocket...and then have a report to write that will take 45+ minutes that covers timing, atmosphere, the food, the experience and the employees. In fact, IMO the timing is so picky it takes both of us paying attention to get the time to the second of events like when you are greeted, etc. They do say that they will now pay for a portion of the guest's pizza, but it still leaves an out of pocket cost.

I cancelled the one I had scheduled and told them that I was not going to complete this one with all of the requirements for a reimbursement that didn't even cover the cost of a PIZZA shop. They changed the requirements AFTER I took the shop so we will see what they say.

A fine dining shop that goes over? Sure. A company that wants me to do a DINE IN shop, at dinner time, but won't even pay enough to cover myself and a guest to order the bare minimum? No. A dine in at a personal pizza place needs to cover the reasonable pizza or salad per person and a drink per person. If I want extras, I pay for them. But the reimbursement should ALWAYS be enough for myself and a guest to order the minimum. I would rather pay full price for the meal, order what I want, and dine with my husband. With no report to fill out later.

I accepted a casual dining shop for take out. When I read the guidelines, I was order 4 different items from 4 categories of food. Reimbursement? $15. Fee? $5 Cost of the lowest item food? $31

I like fees and reasonable reimbursement. I had a $10 fee and $12 reimbursement, spent 18 on product, gave something to someone else and enjoyed being able to do so.

whosear, isn't that the shop where other shoppers said you did not actually have to order the four different items, only one?

reread my guidelines, it still says one from Column A, one from Column B, etc.

While still protecting the company and its client, this was what was in my guidelines:

New for 2014

Food order requirement: You will be required to order at least one item from four food categories on your
order. Anyone in your party can order any of the required food purchases, but an item from one of the
four required food categories must appear on your receipt for you to get paid.

To me that reads as if only the one item is required. The first line could be a bit ambiguous, but they clearly state "an" item from "one" of the categories needs to be on the receipt.

Anyone email a scheduler to clear up the wing requirements? I am curious, since I pass by these location often and have never shopped one.

While the first sentence is worded poorly, the real answer is in the last sentence.

I'm pretty sure this is the same shop I've done... from the pay/reimbursement and the guidelines... and I only had to order one item from one of the categories. I believe I even emailed the scheduler to confirm, because even though I did the first one before 2014 it seems the previous guidelines were poorly worded, also. I also wanted to see if I could order alcohol other than beer. I'm not much of a beer person. smiling smiley

heartlandcanuck - I do these shops several times a month (different locations) and you have to order one item from any one of the four groups not one from each. There are usually two of us eating and going on Tuesday or Thursday makes it possible to stay right at the reimbursement amount. Occasionally, I may go over but that is because my husband decided to order something extra.
It is just one item, must be ordered. It is one of my favorite shops. Order wings, salad, wrap, whatever.
