MFI had been late in their Direct Deposit 2 months in a row now. As their message said 1 or 2 days delay on the Direct Deposit, why don't they just post the exact date when they think the payment would be in? After all, it is supposed to be Direct Deposit. When I see the date, I expect the money to be in my bank.

With CFA, as they could not process Direct Deposit for me, I receive their payment 10 to 15 days by mail. I had applied for Direct Deposit but they kept on telling me that I entered the routing number incorrectly. My bank manager asked them to
call her because the #s were correct. (I gave the same routing # to MFI, and it went through.) Funny thing is after several attempts, I finally received the honest truth from CFA. Their system could not process Direct Deposit yet. I wonder if that has changed. Anyone in Canada receiving payment by Direct Deposit from CFA?

I think it might just be your bank, RisingHorizon. My MFI payment came EARLY this month.

It didn't come at all last month, they never did tell me why. I received a check instead.

No, as I said, someone at CFA told me that they could not process Direct Deposit yet at this time. But they kept on telling me it was my routing #. Only after I wrote them a number of times and even gave them the contact info of my bank manager did somebody was kind enough to tell me that they could not process Direct Deposit. Are you receiving Direct Deposit
from CFA?

MFI was late by one day from the date of the Direct Deposit. They did say it could be 2 days delay. My point is, they have never had this problem before. They were like clockwork. But I am really not too worried about it. If you received yours by check, there is definitely a problem in the their system.
I agree, I have been set up with Direct Deposit for them since forever... last time I switched banks for them was nine months ago, and the first month, I was paid by check (during the switch) but after that, Direct Deposit. Only last month was I paid by check and not DD, but this month, DD.

I wasn't addressing CFA at all, just the MF part of your post. I was paid on the 9th for shops completed in August. I think it depends on when the bank releases the funds into your account.

I have never had any problem with Direct Deposits in my bank. But when MFI was late, I called my bank and they said, the problem was not with them. And since MFI admitted they were delayed, I knew it was never my bank.

Any Direct Deposits sent to my bank have always gone on the date they were supposedly deposited. I have many US based MSC on DD and I have not incurred any problem. The reason I say it's from their end is the fact that they have never failed before. Direct Deposit is Direct Deposit and should be on my account on the day they said it would be. It has never happened before except for the last two payments from MFI. They were in Canadian funds so it could not be because of the rate exchange. If it had been happening in my account, I would not be banking with them since I moved here from Chicago.

The reason I mentioned CFA is because it is under MFI and they could not process the DD while MFI could. And I received a message from them that their system could not process DD, yet. I don't know if that has changed.
Anyone get IntelliShop payment yet? Since the 20th was a Saturday, I figured it'd hit today or tomorrow.

nope
I did not see The Shadow Agency on the list. Anyone knows the payment schedule? It seems very slow.

Thanks, jpgilham!

I rarely shop for a MSC directly, but thru either the HS Brands companies (Kern Scheduling, HS Brands) or QSI Specialists. They schedule for the other companies. Here in Vegas, we are considered "employees" and not Independent Contractors. I get paid by them twice a month (if I have done shops), with taxes withheld. We need a sheriff's card and either a PI license or work for a MSC that has one. I don't know if there are any other states like Nevada requiring this. Still, this is great info as a way to keep track of outstanding $$. Even with this, I get direct deposit from the HS Brands group and check from QSI...who is now offering direct deposit. I find Maritz is one of the fastest paying, as is Beyond Hello.

PS: I love this site and all of you! Hugs
Just wanted to update one. Mystery researchers is now on the 15th of the month after finalization.
Has anyone received July or August payments from Service Sleuth yet? I figured even at the longest, the July payments should've come through by now.

BBird,

According to their website, you should receive the July payment any day now. I didn't do any for them in July so I can't say. I did one in August and according to their website, if I'm reading it right, I won't get it until the end of October or beginning of November if Paypal takes 5 days - which I have not had happen in my personal experience.

From Service Sleuth's website:

Payments are submitted to PayPal approximately 60 days after the last day of the month in which the shop was completed. Please note that it then takes PayPal up to 5 business days to process this transaction and clear the money for disbursement.

When are people normally getting their A Closer Look cheques? Mine states it was mailed on September 22nd and still have not received it (I'm in Canada). Is this common?
Same here, still waiting for payment for work done in July.

I usually get Service Sleuth payments 60 days after the shop is completed, which is earlier than their published pay date.
Thanks for the list. I have the same experience with Service Sleuth as many others have mentioned. Payment is almost 3 months after the shop if done early in the month as it is 2 months AFTER the end of the month the shop was done in. I did a shop in early August. I have long since been paid on all my other shops done in Aug. but I am not expecting the pay for Service Sleuth until the end of October. I am using paypal. I think this might be my last shop for them as it is way too long.
Can you update your page for this msc? Sounds like my experience is common.
Thanks
I just got my cheque from A Closer Look. I was pleased to see I got paid for my restaurant shops, one which I forgot a photo for.
This is fantastic! Thanks Jpgilham

Based on some replies I wonder if there should be a sticky for "problem payers."

Like the ones that say 6 weeks but take 6 months etc..
Hello, Tabitha here, Office Coordinator with Bare International.

We process payments on or around the 15th of each month.

We pay a month behind- meaning shops completed and finalized in September for example are being paid out this month (October).

The checks for this month have been processed and picked up from our office today. They then traveled to the mail processing center, where they are sorted and sent out within two days. They are then delivered via the USPS and can take a week up to ten business days to arrive according to the USPS.

We also offer "direct deposit" as a form of payment, our most efficient form of payment for our US shoppers and the "button push" for "direct deposits" was yesterday. Theses types of payments can take 48 hours on our bank's end and an additional 48 hours on the shopper's bank's end to fully process.

We do not currently offer PayPal to our US shoppers.

All changes within our system, such as changes to your banking details or address, can take up to 25 days to update.

Please keep all your information such as banking details and address details current at all times in order to assist us in getting you paid on time.

We appreciate all our wonderful shoppers do for us. Many thanks and happy shopping smiling smiley

I recommend to friends who are interested in mystery shopping that they get an address book and enter each company, the user name & password for each, when & HOW they pay (so I know to look in my account or wait for a check or...) and I also record the file format they want for the proof of visit. Very frustrating to be scanning in .pdfs when they only take .jpgs or .tifs.

On passwords, I recommend they create a formula. For me, I usually use 4 letters that I associate with the name of the company + 4 numbers. I use the same numbers for everyone, but this is much safer than using the same password for every company since it is company specific.
Thanks a lot! I loved being able to put this in my spreadsheet. And it is NOT that easy to find payment information on all of the sites, some make i pretty hard to find, so this is a gem :-)
If you save the spreadsheet as a csv file it will show the commas and then just copy and paste it onto the forum. Then we copy it into a spreadsheet and voila, you have it in searchable and readable form. As long as you name it something sensible.
Does anyone know when and how Management Consultant Group pays? I can't find any information about it on their site and I'm anxiously awaiting a large payment from them.
