Consumer Connection payment - 4 months late!

Update:

Well it seems the squeaky wheel does get the oil after all... Yesterday, after I threatened to call (two clients) , I got an email saying "We'll pay you tomorrow" and hey presto! I got the money today. It feels like hush money though smiling smiley

So what's the lesson here - patience? threats? I don't know but I know I'm never shopping with them again and I wouldn't encourage anyone else to, unless they don't mind the occasional late payment.

Can I ask who you emailed and talked to? I've sent numerous emails and had the same issues. How did you finally get answers?
Please tell us who you have spoken with as I too have sent many emails only to be told we are sorry but payments are delayed .... again.

Well, I got paid for my March shops. So if it was supposed to be 60 days after the end of March, they are 2 months late. sad smiley

And I'm off to shop for them as there aren't a lot of options for me in this area.

Edit: I have now been paid for my April shops. So, now they are one month late. I hope everyone is receiving their payments.

Edit: Today, I was paid for May and June shops, so in my case they are caught up.

What posts were removed by the moderator? This is the first time I recall the owner of a company threatening members for expressing opinions or going public with payment issues. Since you have publicly admitted to late payments, regardless of the excuse, it clearly backs up what has been said. Last time I checked the truth could not be considered libel or slander.

Sounds like more BS to me. The problem with late payments has been ongoing for many years. It has been explained with a variety of excuses and finger-pointing, this one being the latest. Meanwhile, what stays the same is that shoppers, although eventually paid, are getting paid late. Sometimes, many months late. Sometimes, after frustrating communication with CC staff. Those are facts, not libel or slander.

Just as MSCs do not really care to know why someone flaked on a shop, shoppers do not care to know why an MSC flaked on their pay date. Just as MSCs take on clients to make money, shoppers take on shops to earn money. When pay is consistently late, no matter the excuse, trust is lost.

But, nice to see the quack is back. Threats and all. Shows me nothing has changed.

The CEO is full of herself and loves to self-promote. Paying her shoppers is secondary to making herself look good. She gets very rude, aggressive and quite nutty when trying to explain why she's not paying people.

Wow...I did try to communicate numerous times and it is quite hurtful to get called names. Even though Shoppers are paid monthly now, it doesn't matter, because the negative things will still keep getting posted. I don't mind the feedback, but where did you ever get the notion that I am full of myself, etc? I am sorry that you somehow got this impression, but that is not me at all. Thank you.
Hello: Can you please clarify that you have not been paid? This is confusing, because all Shoppers have been paid up until September 1st.
As a matter of information, a typical Shop costs a business anywhere between $20 - 50 typically. When the Shopper gets paid, deduct about 40% overhead and the rest has to be divided between Schedulers, Editors, etc. Thank you!
Mystery Shopping companies typically offer a bonus when a) a Shopper bails last minute or b) the location is remote. Thank you!

Hi there: We are solid. We have been in business for 17 years. Every Shopper has always gotten paid. We have experienced our problems, but we always rectify things and now, we pay Shoppers monthly. I hope you give us a fair chance because we really do appreciate our Shoppers. Thank you!

My personal wealth may have come from some other means, and not my company, correct? Good to know about that company-probably best that they are not around to scam anyone else.
But while we're on the topic stay away from Second to None they are based out of Michigan and I did a shop for them in September and they have REFUSED to pay me for the work I did. First it was "you didn't go and complete the assignment" fixed that then it was "you submitted the wrong receipt" I corrected that-then it was "oh it takes a month" so here it is over a month-so I called them on it and and they allegedly directly deposited it into my bank account. It's been 6 weeks and there has not been a deposit made.
I have never had a late payment from Second to None. They are always on time for me. Did you double check that they have your correct bank info?

I am caught up with payments from them.
There is a problem with this company. If they are holding on to shoppers pay to pay their other obligations it is really poor business and bankruptcy might be around the corner. I do not shop for this company - have just been reading the threads - and see so many red flags.

I decided to see how it was done and apply for the shop. I was trying to login to shopmetrics for the last few days to see if I was assigned, but could not.
Today I got the info for registration on another site where I could get surveys. It seems the shop was assigned to me, but all I could see just surveys to fill out.
So I replyed to find out about scenarios and instructions. I got email back that one of the person already not working with the company and for questions I need to contact the company president and managing partner. ??????
I find all this events hilarious and just shaking my head...

I can't log on today either. But I am having some computer issues with some other sites today too?

I had a hard time figuring out that other site you have to use for some of their jobs. I have only used it a few times and haven't used it for months so I am not any help to you with that.

I mostly do the work that is on their main site. - which I can't get into today!

Tnx, they sent email about fixing the problem by Monday. The scheduler emailed me instructions.
I checked my other shopmetrics sites, they were fine...
