Second to None, dropping like a fly

When I first started MS S2N had a few clients in my area. For the past year there has been only the sales events and those are even few and far between as of late. No one takes them and they just sit on the board. I noticed the dreaded company joining, but even those were too far away to consider. I have not done a shop for over a year. I would love to work for them again, but nothing in my area.

I've wanted to do a job for them, just to check them out. But I checked out a sporting goods shop for them just the other day. Location is 5 minutes from me, and I love the store. After reading what's required for a $20 fee, and seeing that you have to purchase a minimum $5 item, I said, "WTH? All that work for $15 or less? Fugeddaboutit."

It seems like most of their shops, at least the ones that show up on my board, simply don't pay enough to make it worthwhile. They have no "food" shops in my area--at least if I did one of those, I'd get to eat on their dime!

I did have an office-supplies shop (had a tiny bonus on it, so I took it) scheduled last year with them, but had to cancel because my son was severely injured just days before the shop, and I couldn't leave him alone when he got home from the hospital. But I've never seen one come up again that paid as much as that one did.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I agree. When I signed up with them in 2008, they had several clients in my area and I enjoyed shopping with them. They have lost the clients I worked with and have little that interests me, although I would shop for them again anytime if they had an attractive shop at a reasonable rate of pay. They do have a sandwich client that I like, which has 3 locations in my area. But the pay is a flat $10 with the requirement to order a sandwich and a soda or shake (sometimes they vary the requirement, making it salad or soup and beverage). The sandwich is good but if I purchase the sandwich with a shake it costs the $10. A small sandwich with just a fountain drink means I make $2. Four timings are required but the report is easy. But unless I was going anyway and really liked the particular item being required, why bother? This makes the McDonalds and Sonic shops (with a different MSC) not look too bad on the pay scale, although we constantly hear complaints about the low pay for both of those.

I have completed many shops for STN and never had one single problem. Love the Medicare Advantage season since I am of the age and can do lots of shops. I make most of my money for the year in open enrollment season for Medicare Advantage and STN has bunches of them.

Payment is always on time and I get pretty quick responses from the schedulers...even when I am a dolt and miss something on an instruction. Usually, I am pooped from doing too many shops in one day and am brain dead by the time I have to enter the shop. Messed up a few times and STN was always good about it.
