Knowing the store name for MarketForce shops

I am signed up with MarketForce but was wondering when they reveal the store name. Sometimes, entering the screeners can tell you the name of the shop, but other times it doesn't. I won't accept a shop unless I know what type of establishment it is. Is there another place they tell you what you are agreeing to?

Thanks!

I can only speak for myself, but I know which shops are which because I have been doing it for awhile. So when I see a fast food restaurant, usually I know which one it is. When I see a hardware store, I know which one it is. I live in a small remote area and I am very familiar with the businesses around me. I guess I'm lucky that way.
Ah. Well I live in a big city and am new to mystery shopping so don't have that experience yet! Sometimes it says the name of the shop in the screeners such as "I certify that I do not work for XXX company" but other times it doesn't.

Really though, MarketForce would expect you to commit to a shop without knowing the name. I have dietary restrictions, so I won't commit to a place without knowing I can actually try the food.
If you go into the details like you are going to accept, it will usually ask if you, friends or family have worked for XYZ which will tell you the name. If you don't want to accept, exit the screen.
Sometimes you can google the address and find out. If successful, then you can look to see what the total reimbursement is. This number will usually be the same every month. So then you will be able to match the client with the reimbursement. There is always a shop on my board that reimburses $5.80. I always know what that shop is. When in doubt, you can use cjbstar's method which is just as good.

Thanks, everyone. I guess the final answer is that MarketForce DOES NOT tell you. The only way is experience or using the screening question method I and cjbstar mentioned.
They do, however, ask if you have dietary restrictions that would prevent you from being able to eat whatever they require you to purchase. Since your answer would be "yes" you may not be able to do their shops since even if you know there is something at that restaurant you are able to eat, you won't know until you see the shop instructions whether that is one of the things you are allowed to get.

But googling the address will usually answer the question for you.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
5.80 tells me right away which client this is. I think they should increase it, don't you? winking smiley
Yes. I spent $6.98 tonight. :/
They did pay me $65 to eat that $6.98 meal though so I'm not complaining too much.

I won't do their $7.50 shop. You're essentially paying me $3.25 per shop? I THINK NOT.

I've wondered why this MSC doesn't post those out-of-the-way shops on the boards for $20 or $25. The shops around OKC and Tulsa that you refer to never reach the boards with a bonus included but they offer them up on the board for a measly $12 at most. Yet with the smartphone shop they will pump up the fee to $25. Same with the $11.00 reimbursement shops. But never with the $5.80 shops or the "actual purchase reimbursement shops."

If the tricks listed above fail to disclose the client name you can always ask them. Send an email or call.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
When you do the screening questions, it takes you to the next page, which has the name, address, description of shop and dates to shop.smiling smiley
And if worse comes to worse, once you take the shop you can also immediately cancel it. On the cancel page you have a list of reasons to choose from or you can choose "Other" and say why.

Then until you become familiar with the descriptions, write down the description they use on the board and the company because the description is almost always the same.

I wouldn't do that very often though. I have been told more than once that they do have a small allowance for cancellations, but you don't want to use those up. (I've done about 300 shops for them and have cancelled about 8 times - mostly because the job description didn't give enough info and once I found out the job I decided it wasn't worth the money.)
When I see a shop that I haven't shopped before I always ask the scheduler for the Guidelines. I have always been successful with this information. I tell them that if they don't I will not except the shop. I recently looked up an apartment shop this way. After reading the Guidelines, I emailed back, thanked them for their time and stated that the shop did not pay enough and declined.

lt's actually $3.75 per shop, not $3.25. Plus you get reimbursed for not one, but TWO delicious, highly nutritious meals.
You will receive the name of the shop once you get confirmation. Most MSC I am signed up with
do not divulge the name until it is confirmed that the shop had been assigned to me. Even my top
MSC has started doing that. It must be because of confidentiality.
It's because they don't want you to know it is really that PITA client until after you accept. Actually most will tell you the name of the client at some point before you have to accept the shop. Once a shopper gets to the page on the MF website that requires picking a date all they have to do is back out. I've done it often to find out who the client is and if I really want to proceed.

Holy @#$%&! Those *NEVER* get bonused to that level around here. NEVER. Not one single time! The biggest bonus I've *ever* seen out here is double the starting pay.

Some of you guys are *SO* lucky to get some of these super-simple shops for such gigantic bonuses. The best I've ever got from this company are those check cashing places, 'shopper choice' so I just buy a money order or something; for $50. It was really cool one day to do a route of three of these. They were all out of town, but once you got out of town they were all pretty close together. Those shops/reports are *SO* simple and fast. Gotten *pretty* good bonuses on some FF shops from MF, but nothing in the realm of $65! smiling smiley

Once you get through the screening questions, there is an additional screen that tells you all the information. THAT is the screen on which you accept the shop (by clicking on a date). So if you get to the information screen, see the name, decide you don't want to do the shop, you can just go to a different screen. It doesn't count as a cancellation.
