Marketforce Email for Invalid Shop

I received an email today from Marketforce and am a bit confused. I uploaded the same type of photos I uploaded for the the same assignment on Friday, a photo of the facility and a photo of the sign. The only difference was that I was unable to include the car wash as it was behind the building and the FF place attached to the facility was also missing from the photo since I could not go across the street to take the photo as across the road was an entrance ramp for the highway. Why would they not send a notice asking about the photos rather than it is just invalid?

We need to inform you that we are unable to use the results for this <<client>> assignment that you completed on 8/18/2014. Our Quality Control Department was unable to submit this report to our Client for the following reason(s):
Missing required photos
Our Client will not accept any reports that do not follow the guidelines completely and accurately, and this means that we do not get paid for this shop. Consequently, we cannot pay you what you would have earned had the shop been completed and reported correctly.

Do they only have room for the required number of photos? For overall gas station shots I've often found it impossible or dangerous to try and take them from across the street. Instead I take several shots in sort of a panorama in order to get in all the required elements.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

No there is room for more photos, I uploaded two of the front of the facility. I could always go back and get the FF place and the car wash, but they are not giving me a chance. I never thought of doing multiple shots to get it all. I guess I should chalk this up to my first dead one, but am a bit annoyed with the vague email.
Sometimes they have an option to include more photos, both in the report by indicating the total number you have for the question and as just "additional" photos. If they wouldn't let me submit them with the report, I would immediately email them to the Help Desk. It is not realistic to think we can always find the perfect place across the street.

On one of my shops for them, the only place to get the perfect photos was directly across the street, and that wasn't going to happen because it was the entrance gate to a military base. I was not about to drive over there and say, "Hey, four guys with rifles, I need to park here for a minute and take pictures of the place across the street from your military base gate. Uh, for non-terrorist purposes, I swear."

I ended up having to loop through the intersection three times just to get a good photo of the front, and four more times to get enough photos of other elements.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
I am fairly certain you can add more than one image for each required photo. I, too, have had to take pictures from several angles to get the whole location included. I don't know if the gas station is close to you, but if so, you could contact MF and offer to submit additional images.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.
I offered to reshop or take more pics, they said no. It was not an audit, but a mystery shop. I did clarify that they just want a distance shot of the facility, can be from the side or front. That helps and I guess I'll just continue to learn.
I would reply to the email and explain. I would also add to the email the pictures that you have for the requirement. Let them know why you didn't include them in the report in the first place and see what they say. At the very least they will know that you did have the photos, at most... they may be able to add them and salvage the shop.

I have always had good luck with the Quality Control people when it came right down to explaining.

Good Luck

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
I did include all photos with the original report, I uploaded 4 and only 2 are required. Thanks.
